This is what i say.... DOUBLE COVER EVERY WR AND TE ON THE FIELD!!!! it sooooo simple. get a CB and S on Moss another CB and S on Stalworth get your 3rd and 5th/6th CB on Welker and your 4th CB and LB on Watson and if the Pats bring out a second TE get 2 LBs on him just to be sure, that leaves 1 player to either play zone coverage and stop the pats "Non-existing" running game or make a pitiful attempt at putting pressure on Brady. BRILLIANT!!!!!!
And on Offence you should **** with their heads like on 2nd and 10 from 50+ yds away you call your offensive coordinator to kick a FG, they'll never expect it to be a trick play. GENIOUS!!!!!!!!

I'd say the Steelers have the D that could stiffle the Patriots. They have a great zone blitz package that bring unpredictable rushers, are the absolute best against the run, have a good enough 2ndary to limit Brady's targets, and thus can put enormous pressure on the QB.
Offensively, I'd say ball control O with enough deep threats to spread and wear out the Patriots D can provide for a very productive 2nd half.
The most important thing is to survive the initial waves of the Patriots attack and keep after them for a full 60 minutes......
It would take one hell of a great team to be able to do all that, and it remains to be seen if anyone can.

i agree with Mike Ditka, the only way to stop the Patriots offense is to apply pressure without the use of blitzing. if your front 4 can apply pressure, and your Linebackers can drop back in coverage, the games will be close. the pats D is not invincible, and can be scored on.
this is a shot in the dark, but there is one team i see that might give the Pats a run for their money. the Packers D. they have a great front 4, and practically never blitz, yet still apply a lot of pressure. Packers CB's are the most physical in the league, often doing bump and run. this would bump the receivers off their routes, and force brady to adjust under pressure. it would be a shootout between these 2 teams, and would be a great game. it would be an awesome super bowl if these guys met up then. the pats would probably win, but i feel it would be a close competitive game.

How to beat the Patriots? Hmmm, they look unstoppable, if the Colts can't do it... No one will do it... Here's the deal though I think you need to apply more Blitzes from the outside... Take that ball away from Brady's arm instead of going for the Sack cause if Brady lets that ball go.. It looks like a completion for 20 yards everytime, You can't double team Moss cause then you gotta worry about Walker and Stallworth and Watson... On offense it looks like the Patriots are having problems with passes over the middle... throw more screens on them... DO NOT run up the middle, try to break it to the outside... But you gotta realize the Patriots realized there mistakes so there now going to realize the outside blitzes, the balls thrown down the middle on them. This Pats team looks unstoppable, but if you get on top, don't turn around and look how close they are to you, you better just keep on scoring those points.... cause trust me they can score in a hurry and alot of them...

Press the recievers on defense and make Brady uncomfortable in the pocket all day. If you can make Ben Watson or the other tight ends stay in and block all day that reduces their ability to pass some which is a big key. You almost have to have great corners to stop their recieving core, but I think if you play physical you can throw their recievers off the line. None are all that physically strong. Offensively you just have to do whatever you gotta do to score points. If you throw slants and screens do that, if you run the ball do that, if you throw the deep ball well do that, but whatever you do well you've gotta focus on ball security.

Easy, a team with a strong front four needs to put pressure on Tom Brady. IF Tom Brady cant get the ball out in time, they'll be forced to go to the run, shut the run down then that team needs only 2 touch downs to win.

if you can get consistent pressure with a four man rush, play a nickel or dime pack, and stop their non existent running attack, youre in good shape! i'd double or roll coverage to moss's side, single up on welker/dante and match up with TE's as needed. i would try and force moss to the middle so i could bash him every time he caught a pass.
on O, i would try and run the ball or use short passing game to control time of posession and keep ball out of bradys hands. i might use short passing game to set up the run. i would knock the **** out of brady ever chance i got....and some other stuff....HOWEVER, blowing up the team bus may be easier and last best strategy!

Pressure Brady. If they double Moss, Stallworth, Welker and Watson the give Brady all day to throw and he's going to complete.
Also, play physical against the wideouts to wear them down. Moss and Stallworth are speedsters but not physical enough, and Welker is not a very big guy.

Also I would add dropping back and giving Brady all day to throw has failed. If he is going to beat at least get some shots in at him as long as there legal. Blitz, and blitz some more. Bump there recievers throw them off rythem, every defense so far has let Brady set the tempo you can not do that.

take away the pass and make them beat you on the ground brady is a punk and if you can get to him he will fold and cry like he usually does the steelers will beat them with defence and pressure with their down 4 the colts will beat them with offence by a shootout and a few stops on defence i really havent seen a team able to stop the colts for a whole game manning is just wat to smart and their recievers are too good
