Football (American) - October 2007

I was at work today, and I was asking this question to other people. Okay here it is, say if your a sure lock for the nfl, like you would be drafted #1 or #2 overall, but that means you would go to a crappy team, can you just not sign up for the draft, then wait till the draft is over, then like a week later just sign with like one of the top teams in the league?
But if not, how could the people that not got drafted say like willy parker be in the nfl?

My team is having trouble with arm tackling too much. Every day in practice we work on forming up, driving backwards, but come gametime they seem to want to reach out and grab with their hands and arms instead of getting into the ball carrier. Any drills that can help eliminate this?

Can't seem to figure it out......offense shows up defense doesn't vice versa the week before......they just went to the Superbowl - history says Superbowl loser always bad the next season but that sounds like jibberish to me......what do you all feel on this one?

I was hopeful, but the performance just seems shaky--I mean it seems like 'Dre is getting beat on virtually every long ball. I LOVE the Broncos, someone please tell me that this secondary is going to get its groove on and finally be as dominant as we all expected!

I miss Darrent Williams--I think he and Champ were the better tandem before Darrent's death than Champ and Dre.

And if you are so inclined--what is happening to the Broncos??? Can Denver only have one good team (go Rockies) at once?

To understand my question... I know in Major League Baseball, when their trading deadline passes, teams are still able to make trades but have to go through red tape (example: like clearing waivers or all teams in your division or league must clear the deal too).

I was wondering if something similar applies to the NFL in that teams can still trade after October 16, but must go through red tape now in order to pull it off? Or is the trading deadline rule literally rock solid that after it passes, no trades whatsoever?

I've been a Dolphins fan since a youngster watching the glory days (Shula, perfect season, all those good teams with Danny at the helm), I guess this is payback for the 72 team...we need some talent at QB and DB...and DL, etc, etc.

Sack up and lay it on the line in week 1. I'm tired of these weekly hypotheticals coming from USC and PAC-10 fans. The argument has regressed from USC being the best team ever to how USC could beat LSU in a spelling bee.
