Maybe I spelled it wrong. I'm referring to when the center puts the football on the ground and pretends to snap it to the QB.

Care to elaborate as to what exactly the "fumble ruskie" is? I searched for this term and didn't come of with much except some pee-wee game where the QB says they are using the wrong ball.

Stormer, your link answered the question. It's illegal because it is an intentional fumble. Did you read the link you posted?

That is one of my all-time favorite plays. It shouldn't have been outlawed. Nebraska and Oklahoma ran it successfully many times to win big games (usually on each other).
