I am talking about either the NFL or College Football. Are you into it right away, first preseason game, first regular game, playoffs? With everything happening in other sports like baseball, with the playoff chases, basketball with the big trade, etc, etc. How quickly can you start rooting for your favorite team.

I know he is a drama king sometimes but I still do not think it was fair to kill him like they did on First Take on ESPN when he was not the only Cowboy not to practice.

If I look at sports as a business, it is a very profitable business with limited competition. I suppose I would like to be 'in' when it comes to the money sports generates.

However, I just can't help but wonder why we pay kids multi million dollars just to catch or throw or shoot a ball?

How are these guys really contributing to society? I suppose they help give us something to cheer for when they play on our team. So that we can feel good about ourselves when our team wins, even though we had squat to do with it.

I am just still to this day amazed that a guy that runs a ball through defenders really well, is worth ten times what a heart surgeon makes. Don't get me wrong, I am certainly a sports fan. I just can't help think that we have skewed our society in some way by escalating sports people to the top 1% of all earners. Do we really value Peyton Manning more than we do the doctor that saves our life...apparently we do.

bench warmers make more than doctors.

Recently, I heard that a few NFL teams are reducing the number of two a days. Now there is a debate in a few states to reduce the number of 2 a days at the high school level because of they say that it is harmful for kids. I disagree with this because I feel, as a former high school football player, that 2 a days is most needed at the high school level since kids are still trying to learn the fundamentals of the game. Of course it should be controlled and the kids should be provided plenty of fluids, but I don't think states should ban it. The results will be sloppier high school football games and possibly fewer recruits into the college level because the kids may miss out on the opportunity to get in extra practices.

Do you think 2 a days should be banned at the high school level?

they had the NUMBER ONE ranked pass defense last year, but couldnt move the ball anywhere but backwards. now with the upgrades at quarterback, running back, and some key O-line additions, as well as a brand new coaching staff, maybe they are poised to shock some people?

i'm not thinking even saying anything about playoffs, being as hard as the AFC conference is,
but they should be much improved, no?

you have got to be crazy if you think this case is not about race. All the people that are rushing to judge are white. This is about the fact that hes black and gets paid a lot of money. Why would i say that because when they were protesting at falcons camp some had signs saying that he is overpaid. Its the same thing with barry bonds, hank arron, and any other african american who are/were doing well. Its racial persecution. Face it our country was founded on racism and it is a factor in everything done today. I would like to believe we live in a nation in which race is not a factor in the desisions we make, but we dont. if you say anything other than lets see what happens in court then YOU are guilty of injustice.

I think mike Vick is going to win this case. Taylor is the guilty one all the way and they are just trying to bring Vick down because vick threw him off the property. Race also plays a factor in what people think about this case too.
