MATTAPAN--so you base your opinion on Michael Vick by comparing it to a fictional show on television? Do you often base you opinions on tv shows? How's that working out for you? LOL

To answer the original question:
I think Michael Vick's ONLY defense would be to submit to an IQ test. It is likely that he would be classified as 'mentally handicapped'. Then he could serve his sentence in a mental institution instead of a hard core prison. I would not LIKE for him to get off this easy, but you asked about his attorney's strategy, and I see this as the single method that might do his defense any good.

Mike Vick is done, he will never play another down in the NFL, he will do some jail time but not as much as he deserves. The "race" card won't work for him because the two witness' that are testifing against him are also black.
In addition to the witness statements, the Feds obviously have other evidence as he would not have been brought under a Federal Indictment with only the statements of fellow criminals. The best thing he can do is just admit to the wrong doing, apoligize and move on with his life.

They are going to try to eliminate Tony Taylor as a credible witness by saying 1.) he has an ax to grind against Mike Vick because they had an argument a few years ago and he was thrown out of the house and 2.) He has a drug problem sot hey will use that against him too.

Wow...racism is rampant. A guy says..."Those monkeys get away with everything"...and he gets 3 out of 7 thumbs up. Do you realize that blacks aren't the only people fighting pit bulls? I'm not even going to answer the question, I'm just looking at the overwhelming evidence that Affirmative Action is still needed in this racist country. I don't care how many people, dogs, ants or fleas Michael Vick has murdered...that is unacceptable to label all blacks as monkeys.

I think he should take a page from Barry Bonds playbook in that just play dumb. When it came to roids Bonds has an IQ of 20. A 13 year old kid in a gym knows what the cream is all about. But Barry as a professional athlete and has trained most of his adult life didn't know that at all. Can you imagine.

Ignorance, they'll probably stick with the line that he wasnt aware of what other people were doing on his property and try to toss all his friends under the train...

If that fails, they'll fall back on technicalities and try to interpret the law in a way that makes it look like vick isnt legally culpable.

If all else fails, whore themselves out to the media relentlessly and then try to get it dismissed as a mistrial because of all the media coverage :)

1. Nothing ties Vick to the dog fighting. The fighting was operated by a corporation that was run by the others.
2. The only person implicating Michael is a man whom he took in and who betrayed him.
3. The witness implicating Vick has a long history of drug arrest and would say anything to get himself out of having to go to jail.
4. Michael would take the stand and testify on his own behalf. He would be calm, well-spoken, well-dressed and totally well-coached. The prosecution would be a strung out, twitching, nervous junkie who could be reduced to snivelling or tears by the defense attorney.

I think irvin_cowboy has it right he'll use the "it wasn't me" defense or he'll blame it on Ron Mexico.
