Outside Linebacker: Lawrence Taylor
Inside linebacker: I take Ray Nitschke over Butkus, Nitschke was the clear leader of a stingy Packers defense that won 3 NFL championships and the first 2 Super Bowls during the 60s.

Lawrence Taylor re-defined the linebacking position in the late 70's and through the 80's. I've never seen anything like him before or since. Its really not even that close.
Before its all said and done, I think Shawn Merriman might be even better than LT.

Jack Lambert for the Steelers is the best Linebacker ever and he was the meanest, toughest linebacker also.

One and only Lawrence Taylor
LT
Watch the tapes.
Teams had to recreat offense to play him in his prime.
I was lucky and had tickets back in the day
A dominant force.
