I believe in innocent until proven guilty. I don't think it's right that he cannot practice with his team and his sponsers are pulling their endorsements. What did he do wrong. He owned the house that has evidence of dog fighting and is accused of being involved with the dog fighting. He shouldn't be suspended from his job for something he hasn't been proven guilty of - yet.
I don't know how you think it's a racial thing when people held signs that Vick is overpaid! Of course he's overpaid, he's an athlete. All athletes are overpaid.
The Red Sox paid $100 million dollars for Matsusaka. Is he overpaid? YES! So people that say he's overpaid are racist against Japanese? No. That's just stupid, saying it's a race issue because he's overpaid. It's two separate issues.
He's an overpaid athlete...who is african-american.

Anyone who gets accused of what Mike Vick has been accused of deserves everything he is having happen to him right now, if not more. I don't care if he was purple, green, orange, black, white, brown, Doesn't matter. If these accusations were against Peyton Manning for instance, I would feel the absolute same way I feel about Mike Vick. I don't care who you are, how much money you make, what color/race you are, where you are from, what your religion is, If you torture an animal, Dog, Cat, doesn't matter, You deserve to go to Jail and pay for the consequences. It's people like you who make this a race thing. I could care less if he is black and doing good for himself... Good for him, thats fine. Why would you say such a thing.... Something like that makes people think if thats the way you think about other races... Mike vick should be punished regardless of his race, job, or whatever, If he is found guilty.

Race certainly has an underlying influence-I found myself rooting for Mark McGuire in the '98 homer chase over Sosa. Was that because he was American or had red-hair like me. Don't know??? but Sosa was a more likable player. I believe blacks identify with athletes that are being prejudged b/c blacks are often prejudged themselves. Whether b/c of race (Hank), steroids (Bond), dog fighting (vick).
Now saying Bonds didn't take steroid is like saying Hank isn't black. And it's terrible to even put the classy Hank Aaron in the same category with Vick & Bonds.
Saying the justice system always works is wrong. Vick can easily be found innocent or guilty and it could be the wrong.
If he's truly innocent, he could return to the top like Kobe Otherwise he'll be with OJ in most people's minds

You are so wrong on so many levels it is actually pathetic.
I don't deny that in some circumstances racism still exists. This 'question' and 'rant' you have posted is very good proof that racism is alive and well. Actually, I believe it is referred to as 'reverse racism'.
But, you should read some of the posts here, for an example, to find out how wrong your judgemental statement is that 'all the people who have rushed to judge Michael Vick guilty are white'. There are many black people here in this forum who believe that Michael Vick is guilty who also believe that what he has done is wrong. So don't take on the voice of the black race, I think some of them wouldn't want you speaking for them.

It's not a race issue. Vick has been indicted by the United States for a felony with a state indictment possibly on the way.
Last year, three Duke lacrosse guys were charged with rape and various other things. Everyone was calling for them to go to jail just like everyone is for Vick right now. The difference is that there's way more actual evidence plus one of his former co-defendents his now working with the U.S. to bring Vick down.
As for Barry Bonds, that's not a race issue either. He has a reputation for being a lousy person and kind of a jerk. Also, the whole steroids cloud is why people are booing him since we know Aaron did it clean. I know he hasn't tested positive, but what his is trainer, Greg Anderson, sitting in jail for if Bonds hasn't done anything wrong?

The hype may or may not be about race. The case is about an athlete who funded a criminal enterprize.(Dog fighting and much more importantly the gambling associated with it are both illegal.) The Duke case was about race(we saw how that one ended up) but this case is about a criminal who is going to end up charged with more than just dog fighting.
As for bonds, people boo him because they think he does steriods. They would boo Mcguire too, but he retired. Aaron did face a lot of racism, but that was 32 years ago. Most of America has moved past that. In case you only follow sports, we have our first serious black contending for president.

Must also be racist when his friend, who is BLACK, is turning witness to the Feds...And, you are part of the reason why we don't live in a nation in which race is not a factor. Its ignorant fools like you that keep racism alive.

Dude don't compare Vick to Bonds. That's lame man. Vick is involved with something horrible. Do you actually think he was not involved with the dog fighting?
Everybody go read the federal indictment:

looks like you're the racist. He is accused of breaking the law....if it were Brett Favre, Peyton Manning, or Tom Brady...they'd be getting a lot of the same treatment. Of course, they all play the QB position as a QB...not a RB with a QB number. Get a clue, racist...Donavan McNabb is black...yet he's never had problems like this...and outside of that idiot T.O., everyone loves him.
