Roy beat Ruiz, played games with his weight, overtrained, then got KO'd. Or was he exposed due to age and fighting mostly lesser opponents. What happenened ? He went from being unbeatable, to being KO'd and carted away. What do you think ?

Let the hype begin. You know and I know that Ricky Hatton is not even in the same league with the Pretty Boy. For all of you who wish to mar the pound for pound baddest man on the planets record, keep hope alive, its not gonna happen. It will be the same result as DeLoya, outpointed, outclassed, outshined.Dont get me wrong Ricky is a very good fighter and a better than average champ but in Floyds class never.

It strikes me as ridiculous that a guy weighing a few pounds over 190 should be forced to fight other men in the same division who might weigh in excess of 300 lbs. The smaller weight classes are ridiculously close in a division where knockouts are far less common. Would anyone be in favor of a super heavyweight division and a redefining of the existing weight classes to better reflect the size of the modern man.

Now that Mayweather has ''called out'' Hatton and came out of his 'retirement' then called Hatton the most overrated fighter in 25 years, what is ur opinion of what will happen should they fight? Classic matchup of boxer - brawler.

Would Frazier be a bum for his humiliating losses to Foreman if he never proved himself vs Foreman? Would anyone know who the Hell Norton is? Would Leon Spink have beaten anyother champ?

Thank you Kieran27 for the brain food, you brought up a very interesting question in my mind.

Had Ali never made his post exile comeback, he would have retired with a record of 28-0 with a 6 year reign (1964 until he officially retired in Febuary 1970) and 3 years as a fighting Champion (last defense in 1967 vs Zora Folley) with 9 title defenses. If that were how it went down, where would Ali fit into the ranks of the greatests?

When asking who the best Heavyweight Champion was, Joe Louis' name comes up often, though Ali's does more often. Had Joe Louis never made his comeback (in which he went 8-2 with 3 KOs) he would have retired with a 61-1 record with 52 KOs. His one loss was a fluke vs Max Schmeling. If he never took on Max the first time, he would have retired at 61-0, if he would have beaten Schmeling the first time he'd have been done at 62-0. On top of this great achievement, he won the title on June 22nd 1937, and retired it on March 1st 1949, giving him nearly a 12 year reign as Champion. Also defending his belt 26 times (most say 25 and wikipedia has him at 27, I am going off of boxrec).

In conclusion would a guy named Joe Louis, who retired with a record of 61 or 62-0 with a record (nearly) 12 year reign (the record still stands in EVERY division) and a record 26 title defenses (the record still stands in EVERY division) be universally recognised as the greatest Heavyweight Champion ever?

Either Liston was an un-beatable bear who took obvious dives against Ali..........

........or he was a glass-jawed fake that would have been a very early KO victim of Marciano.

Which one is it guys?

Rocky Marciano retired april 27 1956. He was knocked down only twice in his career, by Jersey Joe Walcott and Archie Moore. He came back to k.o. each of them. Ezzard Charles was the only man to last 15 rounds with him. Now the question, had he not retired at 33 and continued, beating contenders, Patterson. Johanssen and eventually a overrated Liston ( Which Rock would have been 36-37 by that time) then retired with a 55-0 record, would he receive the respect he deserves? Or would people in yahoo answers think he was still overrated and fought only old men? Remember Patterson stayed at light heavy until Rock retired and Ali knocked out Moore years after Marciano did. And footnote, Moore trained Ali before he fought him! So why does a man who goes 49-0 and brought class to boxing receive almost no respect?

Pacman's worst defeat came from a lady named Darlene Antonino Custudio, They were equal in popularity but Darlene's political intelligence was a big mismatch. Damned those politicians for urging Manny into politics and i think it will greatly affect in his future fights.

Is Manny really stupid or just exploited?
Manny already made a big mistake fighting Solis, he could have earned bigger if he fights GBP's elite. And now Arum tricked him into fighting Solis (Revenge crap is what he say for beating lousy brother bobby Pacquiao). No glory for that, like his win with unknown Solis.
