All boxing needs to have to spice it up is a great heavy weight champ thats why I'm taking the sport up. And i have really gotten into a lot lately so it can't be that boring.

Not really. It's just the circumstances. First, there's a dearth of exciting fighters today. Only Manny Pacquiao brings excitement to the fight game these days. Mayweather, for all his talent, is pretty much boring to watch. The heavyweight division is, sad to say, dead. Seconly, we don't get to watch the exciting match-ups or the fights we really want to see because those greedy promoters always have their way - money first before anything else.

Boxing is not as main stream as it used to be so to the average fan it may seem like boxing is boring but it is not.

Sure there are fights that are boring but there are also fights that are very exciting.

So to bunch them altogether as one is not fair.

I love boxing and its not boring.

Don's let one apple spoil the whole bunch.

Some fights are boring. We are trying to fix it. Read the 'Teddy Atlas' posts.

It has because of the UFC and Pride and the various other MMA fighting leagues. They are simply more physical and better athletes than boxers. This leads more people to watch and also to be interested in it.

Yes. Hasn't been exciting since Tyson left.
Back when we had tyson, or before that, Ali, Frasier, Foreman, etc, it was good.

Now, boring.
