In Rocky IV, instead of Apollot having the exhibition bout with Drago, what if it had been with Rocky instead? (as originally planned)?

Because he would have been a bit more serious about it than Apollo, I don't think he would have been killed. However, I do believe he would have lost to Drago due to the fact that he did not yet know of Drago's radical punching power. In the movie, he won against Drago only because he knew what he was up against and because his best friend Apollo had been killed by him, and he just BARELY won at that.

What do you think the outcome would have been if the exhibition had been with Rocky instead of Drago?

It seems like more people watch dog fighting than boxing nowadays?

Is America so violent that two people punching each other in the face for like 30 minutes is not good enough?

Would more people watch? Would you?

I want to know why Rocky fought allot of bums (no bodies)? How is it that he fought more white fighters than blacks? How is it that he fought white fighters who got beat up by black fighters? Also why is it that he fought old washed up champs but never faced a young and eager Sonny Liston??? Im not being racist for everyone to know (I'm a white guy) simply put I just want to know why Rocky didn't fight some of the young and talented fighters of the era.

It was said that after the Moore fight Marciano stated that Moore really hurt him like he was never hurt before with that knock down he suffered early in the fight. Did that scare Marciano and is that why he never fought Floyd Patterson a boxer who was more than willing to get in the ring with Marciano? Why did Marciano retire so sudden he only had 49 fights compared to boxers back then who were racking up over 100 fights? I don't get it I know Rocky was bad *** but I don't think he proved himself amongst the all time greats.

I do not agree with the decision at all I called it a draw, but I could have seen a split decision. But not a unanimous one and surely not for Hopkins. Wright is not my favorite boxer by far. Jermain Taylor is but unlike his fight with Taylor. Winky should have complained alot more about this decision.

...or is he just riding his legendary father's coattails at this point? Seems as though he hasn't really fought anyone and gets way too much press based on his own accomplishments. Is it all pomp and no circumstance, or does the kid have the tools to be a great one?

Would the result have been different if Ali didn't have to stay out of boxing for 3 years because of his refusal to go to Vietnam? I think Ali would have won the same way he did in the two rematches!!! What do you think?

I finally got to watch the Winky fight. What a joke! Hopkins is three sizes bigger. He should have walked to center ring and said, "I own this!" Instead he ran like a lttle girl. I thought I was watching punk Mayweather! Then came the shameful intentional head-butt and he smiled because he was so successful - what a jerk! then he started lacing the cut - he should have gotten DQ'd! I just turned the damn thing off after 7 rounds. Bernard Hopkins SUCKS!

Lennox retired as champion and he had nothing else to prove unlike other boxers like Hopkins,De La Hoya and Jones jr. who don't know how to retire and get a job as a commentator like lewis.

Personally, I would like to see it happen again being a boxing fan and boxer and all. People talk about Hatton vs. Mayweather, personally it would be a waste in my opinion, Mayweather is just all around the perfect counter for Hatton's type of fight, being amazingly bigger and faster and more defensive than Hatton is.
De la Hoya vs Mayweather again would be something to see, but does anyone else think that this would happen again? Thats what I'm really trying to ask here, I'm not asking about how the fight would turn out ( although comments on it would be interesting to see ) but I just wanted to get some of you people's thoughts on this fight ever happening again, hopefully Oscar will use his damn jab to take down Mayweather

seen around 2:30 Oscar jabs Mayweather and it seems to actually work... unfortunanetly he didn't throughout the fight and well... yeah...

If Armstrong had beaten Ceferino Garcia in 1940, he would've held almost half of the world titles in existence. I think in most boxing circles, Armstrong makes a strong case for the second greatest fighter ever, right behind Robinson. If he had won this fourth title, (as many people already argue he should have won that fight) and actually defended it a few times, would you consider him the greatest fighter ever? (i.e. greater than Ray Robinson, if you don't already think so)
