Salvador Sanchez is undoubtedly one of the greatest featherweight champions of all time and it certainly is a tragedy that he died at such a young age. I saw him tear apart another great fighter in Wilfredo Gomez, beat the great Azumah Nelson and also Danny "Little Red" Lopez. He had a great style, an iron jaw, a great will to win and also was a very classy man and fighter. I will never forget how great a fighter he was.

Salvador Sanchez is immortal, the stuff of legends. He will never be forgotten so long as there is professional boxing, his name and his legacy is safe. His tragic and untimely death, much like Bruce Lee made his accomplishments all the more memorable. Fans will always mourn the loss of men such as these and they will never be forgotten.

salvador sanchez is without question one of the top 20 greatest featherweight champions of our lifetime and we never got a chance to witness his true potential because of his untimely death...i am truly sorry of the fact that he never got in the ring with another featherweight great eusebio pedroza, but i will always remember that he defeated danny little red lopez, bazooka wilfredo gomez, the professor azumah nelson, and juan la porte.

Salvador was the best. Too bad his life was cut short by a car accident. I would love to see him against Manny Pacquiao.
