Meldrick Taylor vs Julio Cesar Chavez March 19 1990. Taylor got caught and KO 16 seconds left on the 12 round. Meldrick would have won by unanimous decision by far.
However Taylor went to the emergency room after the fight. He was in bad shape. Julio went to the cantina and got drunk.

Douglas over Tyson was the most satisfying, but it was a multi-punch affair. I only classify one-punch KO's in this category. The best was Marciano over Walcott, but I didn't see it as it happened. The best I saw unfold was Mike Weaver knocking out Big John Tate and leaving him flopping like a fish on the canvas. What made it so great was the fact that Tate had won the first 14 1/2 rounds before Weaver's left hook ended it with one shot! Damndest thing I ever saw!

Not what you looking for but it was in the Hallway in a Ward at the Hospital. This giant of a thirty-year old black guy was giving the patient problems for about three days. I have not seen anything like it since, in person, nor in the ring. This white guy, Gerald, got behind the male nurse, tapped him on the shoulders and when he turned around Gerald hit him just about his eyes, say the forehead and this black man never knew what hit him. He was out for about fifteen minutes before they could get him up and he still had no idea where he was. But of coarse they placed Gerald in a padded cell for three days.
I talked with Gerald later about the hit and he told me, it is not the jaw, nor the side of the head. But for a first hit offense, and with bare power with a naked fist. "Hit between the eyes", and regardless of his size the man
will go down.
On another note if you catch, or notice a guy taking in a breath the "liver" is the spot. He will not be able to breathe again for about two minutes...FYI

Bernard Hopkins vs Oscar De La Hoya. Bernard hits Oscar with a body shot Oscar goes down & pounds the ground. During the post fight interview Oscar says I was paralysized. If he was Paralyzed how was he able to pound the ground while sitting on the seat of his pants. When the fighter knocked Hasim Rahman out of the ring also.
