I'm doing an article on East Side Boxing about Oscar De La Hoya's purchase of Ring Magazine and I would like a general consensus. How many of you are going to pull your support of the Ring championship as a result of this dubious action?

I will give you a clue, he wore a color that men wouldn't be caught dead in back in the early 80's !

retirement- and did Marciano retire just when the heavy-weight division got really competitive with likes of Liston and Ali?

Now there are many fighters not just heavy-weights that chose not to retire but stick around and fight way past their primes, some of these fighters had some success, most didn't.............

But these are the same fighters Marciano beat up on while they were old men, if these old fighters could hang around past their primes to test the limits of the human body and spirit why couldn't Marciano?.............................................

Instead of talking about some ridiculous computer fight between these two.......................................... there have been a few answers to questions about this topic which eluded to Marciano being given the opportunity to fight Ali for real but turning it down.

Forum- please give more insight into this matter.
(And yes I'm still a fan of Marciano)- But truth is truth!

I would like to know whether there is now a better world's heavy-weight boxer ever than Muhammed Ali who several decades ago, kind of owned the game. Yes i really agree he was an ace, but as time went by, did some one or two surpass him in doing the thing best in the ring?
Boxing gurus of then and today, please educate me; or did he actually measure to that fame?
What would it take to choose the best in the ring?

Upon Vitali Klitschko's retirement, WBC named him "champion emeritus" giving him an automatic shot at the title if he ever returned. I wasn't sure if this was done routinely when a champion retired with a title or if this was a special provision and what you boxing fans thought about it.

I think if Holyfield took one of these matches he would be sent into to retirement for the last and final time. Me personal I think these brothers or the best at this time but also the most overated in Heavyweight history. And I feel Holyfield should have stayed retired just like micheal jordan before he came back for the last and final time. which i feel is damaging his career as one of the best of his era

Holyfield is the most fake ever champ?
This is why!
He first got his Heavyweight title win from buster douglous, buster douglas was worser than hasim rahman. As hasim beat lewis just because lewis was in bad shape and took the fight lightly. Douglous beat tyson because of the same reason
The 2nd time holyfield got his title was when he beat riddick bowe, bowe also said that the fanman costed him the fight as many agree. later on bowe ko holifield
the third time holyfield got his title was against a washed up tyson, when holifield cheated like a ***** and just headbutted. holifield should have been banned from boxing.
The 4th time holifield won his title was when the judges robbed john ruiz.
Now holyfield is going to fight for the 5th title and against a opponent who has no losses but 1 draw against the great Ray Austin(lmao)
Holifield the most fake ever champ
How many other Heavyweight champ are there that have been ko by a fat middleweight fighter?

They fought back in the 80's for Garza's 122 lb championship. Take a look at it, it was a good fight!
