The WBC ( World Boxing Council) Spent Millions of Dollars into independant research looking into length of a title fight and Doctors discovered that there was evidence that fighters had a greater chance of being injured between rounds 13 to 15 and that is why fights are 12 rounds and not 15 it is for fighter safety only and only the WBC put the time and effort in getting some of the best doctors in the world to look at the issue.

So many to choose from. Tough question. I'll take three: Bobby Chacon vs. Bazooka Limon (4th fight between the two). Evander Holyfield vs. Dwight Qawi(1st fight for the cruiserweight title). Larry Holmes vs. Ken Norton.

Muhammad Ali vs Joe Frazier - the first fight (The Fight of the Century). Greatest 15 round match ever. Ironically, "The Greatest - Ali" didn't win - "Smokin" Joe Frazier did in the best fight I've ever seen.

Norton/Holmes was a very close fight that could have gone either way. Holmes won the last minute of the last round to squeek out a one point split decision.
