Well I have to admit Jimmy...I sort of like Cory Spinks' contortionist rap dance to the ring but I know what you are saying lol...Hammed entrance sounds like something I'd like to see. I remember he always flipped over the ropes to enter the ring too.

Hands down it was the actual "Temptations" signing "Get Ready Cause Here I Come" for Nassem Hamid's ring walk just before Naz's fight with Soto in Detroit. They blew the place away, and althought Eric Morales and Wayne McCoullagh were the best fight that night, nothing I have seen in Vegas or the East Coast will ever beat that ring walk.

Imagine one of Motown's most famous group's singing one of their greatests hits, in Joe Louis Arena, right in the heart of Detroit. The crowd went absolutly nuts, they were fantastic. Say what you want about Naz, I was in Vegas for the Barerra fight when Marco kicked his behind, but nothing I have seen in that last 35 years equaled the absolute intensity and pure class of that ring walk.

Months before the Soto fight a buddy of mine brought Naz's brothers to my house to borrow tapes of Hamid to help them sell the Soto fight to Joe Louis arena, and they promised me ringside seats to the fight if I helped them. I did, and they stiffed me on the tickets (there's a shocker, dishonest boxing promoters, hah hah ha), I went anyway because I wanted to see Morales/McCoullagh, and it was the best fight on the card. It wasn't the first time a group of boxing promoters lied to me, I got over it quick, and I have no feelings about Naz's people pro or con. I have no reason to like them, but boxing people lying is par for the course.

The Temptations doing his ring walk music was the perfect Detroit entrance for the little $hit and and I got to give him and his people credit, it was the single best ring walk I ever saw. My absolute favorite ring walk, it was truly a classic.

I was at this fight in St. Louis when Cory Spinks took 30 minutes to walk to the ring to fight Zab Judah for the second time. He danced with Nelly all the way down to the ring. I do not call that the greatest ring entrance, but I do call it a lesson learned in showboating too much. He got KO'd in 9 rounds. FUNNY!

Without a doubt, bar none, and believe me I have seen hundreds of ring walks, no fighter ever can top Naz having the actual "Temptations" singing "Get Ready Cause Here I Come" in Detroit, less than a mile from Berry Gordy's Motown studio/museum "Hitsville" at the Joe Louis Arena prior to the Naz/Soto fight. It was the single best ring walk I have ever witnessed, words don't do it justice. Say what you want about Naz he was the ultimate showman, and he left an everlasting mark on Detroit area boxing with that one. The best fight on the card that night was Eric Morales vs Wayne McCoulluah, but Naz and the Temptations rocked the place with that ring walk, absolutely classic. I seen all of Naz's amazing entrances, and belive me, this one was his best. I was ringside for that one almost a decade ago, but I remember it like it was yesterday. It was epic.

Chris Eubank had good ring entrances and he was to a large extent copyed by Nassem Hamed who just took them a bit further.
But my favourite ones are Oliver McCalls entrance in his second fight with Lennox Lewis he literally ran into the ring like some thing out of pro wrestling. Also one of Nigel Benns entrances where he danced in like a green lazer tunnel.

When Muhammad Ali walked through the field in Zaire to fight George Foreman. The electrifying crowd gave goosebumps. Also when Mike Tyson walked to the right to fight the undefeated Michael Spinks.

Naseem Hamed's entrance in the Kevin Kelley fight when he danced behind the screen for a few minutes was pretty cool. Frank Bruno's entrance when he won the title against Oliver McCall in England was cool with the laser lights and the hip hop music thumping. But McCall's entrance in that fight was equally cool with his scowl and his own song "Atomic Bull" blasting in the background, plus Don King and his entourage yelling in his ear, i thought that was pretty good, but he lost the fight! Jorge Paez and Hector Camacho Sr. had some good entrances too back in the day.

I agree with the guy above about Hamed's entrances. I think I liked the 1 around Halloween when he came out thru the graveyard etc to MJ's Thriller a bit better.

But the Temptations entrance was good also.

When a Young Iron Mike Tyson used to enter the ring silently glowering at his opponent who would look at Tyson whose muscles & demeanor told them that they were quite probably in the ring with the " baddest man on the planet. " Even before the fight started....many opponents saw the " bad intentions " radiating from Mike & it was at this point they they realized that they would not be able to last a round with Mike. Then the bell would ring & Iron Mike would quickly prove just how right they were.

I think my biggest entrance would be , when i fought Donald Curry;s brother. The kid had a big mouth because his brother was the middle weigth champ at the time. I enterd the ring with tune from Curtis Mayfield's SuperFly !!

I fougth in the middle weight division as well, as a matter of fact I was a super middle weight . In my hometown of Gary,IN I'm still considered as very dangerous sparring partner. I hope I was able to help ya out some.

I like young Mike Tyson's entrance during the late 80's. Black shorts, no socks, no robe, ripped physique, menacing look.... He got his opponents KO'd even before he got to the ring!
