The starters are Mussina and Verlander. As a yankee it looks hard because , Mussina has been horrible the last to starts less than 8 inings and about 14 er thats bad i will have to pray and pray some more and pray again lol ,but i think they can still get to Verlander he has not been that good . I think they can get the series split .

LETS GO YANKEES !!!!!!!!1

So, if your favorite team doesn't make it/win the World Series, what other team would you want to win instead?

Also, let's not be ridiculous and say some team that obviously isn't going to make it to the playoffs.

I don't think it has any purpouse whatsoever. Just another popularity contest, because that's what America is all about. Just another marketing gimmick, because baseball is slowly becoming all about the money.

Your thoughts?

WITHOUT giving into the urge to run to the web for the answer -- can anyone name the first little leaguer to make it to the majors?

This is for all the yankee fans that were rubbing it in when they were 4 games out. Well well well, NOW they are 7.5 games out and their magic number to be mathetically eliminated from the pennant race is 25. Any combo of Boston WINS and yankee LOSSES equalling 25 and the yankees are done. see ya! bye bye.

Personally I'd say Clemens. 353 wins and counting, 4000+ strikeouts, 3.12 career ERA, all of this in the steroid era. These numbers are enough for him to be considered one of the top-five pitchers of all time, regardless of era. But what do you think?

okay example roger Clemens will go in the hall of fame as a red sox i think , but im wondering who decides what team you represent in the hall of fame what are the requirements . I heard you have to of played with the team 10 years or more . What if a player played ten years with ex .the marines and the next 10 with the angels or something, and they make the hall of fame what uniform do they represent.

thank you

built modern parks that are replicas of it, without the obstructions, etc. and modern, not 100 years old. With all the comforts of 2007, not 1912.

I'm not asking what you think of him as a person or what you think of his past or present teams and opponents. I want to know if other pitchers with comparable career achievements and statistics are regularly voted in or out, or would he be in a gray area where subjective factors determine the outcome?

I hate the Yankees, and their fans are super obnoxious, but I think I might hate the Red Sox even more, because their fans are such whining cry babies.

Who do you think is worse, and why? Or do you possibly think that there's some other team's fans that are even worse?

The spend a career creating set ups for the batters, you would think they could spot good pitches.

Don't they have a ticket booth window there where you can walk up on game day and buy bleacher seats or standing room only? I have heard that the only way to get tickets is from scalpers or from those over-priced ticket brokers and that $25 bleacher seats go for $300, is that true? That is ridiculous to pay that much money to go see a baseball game. They should add another 5,000 seats there to make games more affordable to the public. I live in Seattle and go to Safeco Field, and never have any problems getting tickets, great seats for $25-$35 range.
