This is for all the yankee fans that were rubbing it in when they were 4 games out. Well well well, NOW they are 7.5 games out and their magic number to be mathetically eliminated from the pennant race is 25. Any combo of Boston WINS and yankee LOSSES equalling 25 and the yankees are done. see ya! bye bye.

I'm not worried about the wild card because I know The Tigers will win the Central Division.
It's looking like a yankee-free postseason.

Congrats, Georgie. However, your rant is meaningless as the Tigers are still 2 behind the Yanks in the wild card standings. Even if the Tigers win tomorrow, by my count, they split the season series 4-4.

What happened to the sweep you predicted a few weeks ago?

It looks more and more like the wild card is coming out of the AL West. Who would have thought that 2 months ago?

Also, I didn't read the post-game news, but it lookd pretty bad for Jurrjens (sp?) who has looked extremely impressive in his 3 starts. That hurts for you guys, no doubt.

Im right here, they aren't out yet and even they are this year ill still be a yankee fan....the thing with the yankees are they are expected to be in the playoffs and championship contenders every year, thats why everyone else who isnt a yankee fan makes a big deal out of them...cuz u dont care about how other teams do, just if the yankees lose cuz they are that amazing and a threat of a team to every other ball club

It's been stated a million times, Georgie, my friend.

I've been complaining about the cocky and arrogant Yankee fan for all 35 years of my life. They've been talking trash, win or lose, forever.

However, now that the playoffs appear a longshot at best, where's the *********? Where are the fans??

Pardon me, Georgie, but I'm going to crack a beer, sit back, and enjoy the silence for awhile...Hasn't been this quiet since 2004.

Georgie, I am a Yankee fan, thru', thick and thin. I stick by them, no matter what. If we were down to the last week, and there was no possible way for them to get into anything, I would still go to the games and cheer them on. I am not a fair weather friend. I just think of the next season. The Yanks have been there for us, time and time again, who am not to be there for them.

The only reason you're bagging on the yankees is because you cant say anthing good about the tigers. the Yankees have a better chance of making the playoffs than the tigers. When the Yankees make the playoffs and the tigers don't im gonna specifically call you out Gorgie Porgie. aprrove that.

Wow are you kidding me The Yankees have a better record than the Tigers Ya sure they are 7.5 out but only 2 out of the wild card and when I looked last that can get you into the playoffs. The Tigers are behind the Indians Wow So before you cut up a team why don't you check to see if your team is actually better than them

They changed to being fans of a winning team becasue that is why the became yankees fans in the first place. Yankees only have fans when they win they have no real fans.

Well, one Yankee fan admitted he was depressed. I'm sure the rest are depressed just as well, but will be back to talking smack if they get at least one from Boston during their series.

You know, I don't mean to be cocky, but I remember when I told my dad I was a Red Sox fan, and he told me I was in for a life of pain and suffering, and that I should be a Yankees fan. Hmmm....father doesn't always know best.

EDIT:
I forgot to mention....

THE TRUE YANKEE FANS WILL REMAIN AT YAHOO! ANSWERS, PROUDLY ADVERTISING THE FACT THAT THEY ARE A YANKEE FAN! (like proud to be mexican) NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS

(the bandwagoners could learn something from them)
