Honestly, chances are decent. You want revenge? I think you still owe The Tigers for 1961.

Condsidering in the beginning of the year Tiger fans were all saying the Tigers are making the playoffs and winning the WS and the Yankees are going to miss out on October baseball.
Well now it looks like the OTHER way around!
The Yankees are definetly in October baseball, the Yankees are their, are the Tigers? 50/50.
If the Tigers dont make it I think we will see a Indians - Yankees series.

Well, I think the Red Sox will make the playoffs by winning the division - I am not so sure about the Tigers in the Central.
Yankees only chance will be to get the wild card but the Angels and Seattle will have something to say about that.

In order for that to happen, the Tigers would have to win the AL central and the Yankees would have to win either the AL east or the wildcard.Since it doesn't look like the Red Sox are going to slip anytime soon, it's the wildcard for now. But there's also the pesky Mariners to deal with. An uphill climb?? Yes!! Impossible to acheive?? Never!!

The Tigers are going to need to carry this momentum from the Yankees series and win their division, and the Yankees need to win the Wild Card (sorry, but I really want the Red Sox to win the Division :) )

The Yankees will not make the playoffs. Period.
Will be Angels, Red Sox, Indians, and Tigers.
You may have to endure another Red Sox title. They are the team to beat.

The Yankees have assembled a team of overpaid aging stars. Younger talented teams have caught up with them. Their experience may carry them through the stretch but the odds, which you ask for, are against them. They are only 2 1/2 games out of the wild card, which is an attainable figure.

Yankees will not make the playoffs.
And if they do, by sheer luck, the Tigers will take them down AGAIN, and go on to win it all. Simple as that.

Slim. The Tiggers won't make the playoffs and it's iffy if the Yankees make it.
