They do hold some tickets for the window but you have to get their at about 4 in the morning to get them.
Red Sox fans will do anything to get tickets...if you don't live here you don't understand.
$25 seats don't exist...at Fenway they're like $40 and no not $300...but $150-$250.
Fenway is a very small park...no room for 5,000 seats...and that would help for maybe a year and then the prices would go up and up. You'll always have problems getting tickets at Fenway because they have a huge fan base..I predict in about 20 years you'll have just as much trouble getting tickets to any Red Sox game...even road games because fans are traveling more and more and the fan base is getting bigger and bigger.
Example...
The Marlins are last place in game attencence and Tampa is 2nd or 3rd to last.
The only reason Tampa is ahead is because when the Red Sox are in Tampa you wouldn't know if you were just listening..."Lets Go Red Sox" the whole game. SOOOOO many more Sox fans than Rays fans.

It's hard to get tickets at fenway due to a variety of reasons. One is the large number of people with season tickets. Also, a lot of people get tickets for red sox games early in the year, about the day after they go on sale. A final factor is the small size of fenway, which makes it such an amazing place to see a game. However, I think it is possible to get tickets online for some of the games during the early part of the season, as long as they aren't matchups under high demand. (i.e. yankees games). As for the ticket booth window, I'm not sure, but you also shouldn't believe everything you here. The going rate for bleacher seats from scalpers is usually about $30-$40

Safeco sells out when the Red Sox are in town and that's about it. Will Safeco be sold out when the Angels are in this week?
Fenway has been sold out since mid-2002. It used to be possible to show up in the morning of a game and get obstructed view tickets and that may still be possible, but given the demand, scalpers probably scarf up those tickets by getting into line at 4 AM. If you are going to be in Boston and want to catch a game, which I highly recommend, get your tickets well in advance from Stubhub or eBay.

Technically, it is impossible because they're sold out most to all the games. They do have ticket booths window. Usually some people or players return their tickets back to the booth, and then they are release to the public. In that case, every game, there's a line of people waiting around the ticket booth to see if there are any release ticket available. If they are, it's a maylay.
That's why most REDSOX fans do: either watch it at home or fly down to Fenway Park 2, Baltimore when they play the Orioles. Im telling you, every series, Camden Yards is pack full of REDSOX fans.
Scalpers is part true, but $300 is too much.

FENWAY is a small stadium, holds about 36,000 people and the RED SOX fans love their team. They buy up the tickets.
It's like the PACKERS in GREEN BAY. They have 70,000 seats and each one is sold as a season ticket. The only way a person can get tickets is by buying them from a season ticket holder. Maybe it's the same in BOSTON.

Check the local classifieds. Sometimes, season ticket holders don't want to attend a game and will sell their ticket for that day.
There's also a website called stubhub.com that's like a clearinghouse for things like that.
