Craig Biggio and Jeff Conine have declared this is it for them.

David Wells needs to read the tea leaves already.

ps. The two guys I am convinced will NOT retire are Bonds and Johnson.

Bonds is within spitting distance of 3000 hits and the runs scored record. And, retired, he has no chance at a championship. I'm sure we see him in 2008, but which team, I dunno. Yankee pinstripes would be a hoot.

Johnson, if he can stand up at all, will grind it out. He's under contract for 2008, and he WANTS 300 wins. He's more than tuff enuff at least to give it a try. If he crumbles in the first half of the season, yeah, he might call it quits, but not if he has anything left.

Clemens is a total wildcard. If he wants to pitch, someone will sign him.

Quick note: The Yanks are the "Zoo".

And for the actual question, I'll say Randy Johnson hangs it up. His back is killing him, he can't pitch like he used to anymore

Manager - Joe Torre. Final year of his contract, he's won 6 pennants and 4 World Series titles. Time for the Yanks to bring in a fiery manager

As for Cox, he is not retiring. He still is managing well, the game has not passed him by. La Russa still has the energy to manage, he won't be done after this year.

I know this may sound crazy, but I believe that there will be no retirements this offseason. Biggio has said he's going to retire, but he is a known liar in some circles and is obsessed with personal stats.

I think A Rod should retire, play basketball for a year and a half, and come back and win 3 rings.

Clemens is due for the porch. Randy Johnson, too. I would not be surprised to see Maddox consider it, either. Piazza may opt for retirement.

For managers, Bobby Cox, if he misses the playoffs this year, would not surprise me with retirement. He doesn't have anything to prove. And if the Yankees fail, I would hate to see Torre go but George may retire him. Torre is one of the really good guys in the game and he may take himself out, for that matter.

I think Joe torre will retire at the end of the season because he has accomplished enough. Bobby Cox needs to call it quits. I mean, come on. He has the ejection record! What more does he want?

There are rumors that Tony LaRussa (Cardinals) may retire at the end of this season. Bobby Cox would get my vote if we had one.

Players? Let's say farewell to Roger Clemens and David Wells....................
