Using current pitchers make a 5 man pitching rotation in order of how you would want them to start.

A pitcher is given a pitch count once he leaves the game. Say for instance
pitches 90
strikes 44
balls 46

My question is this. If the batter swings and fouls it off, do they take into account WHERE THE PITCH is in the strikezone???? Or are all fouled off pitches considered to be 'strikes' in the pitchers pitch count ????

Thank you

I heard on the radio this morning that the Yankees are in negotiations with the Arizona Diamondbacks about trading Randy Johnson. Why would they trade him? He is a consistent starting pitcher and just, well, The Big Unit. It just seems wrong to me. I know there was talk last year about having such a full bull pin (even after Lidle was killed) could that have anything to do with it? And even if it does shouldn't they be trading a pitcher with a poorer performance?

No outs, runner on third. The batter hits a fly ball to the CF warning track. The CF drops the ball on the track for a two base error (batter makes 2B), runner scores from third. The game incorrectly scores the run as unearned and the batter is incorrectly credited as reaching base via error, thus hurting his BA. THe proper way to score such a play is to credit the batter with a sacrifice fly despite the error, because he did his job. He also should get an RBI. The runner from third is an earned run.

Earned or unearned? Or does it depend on what the next two hitters did?

I know he has had weight and alcohol issues, but Rick Anderson should be able to straighten him out and players on the Twins always seem to behave, SO lmk if you know anything about him, have watched him extensively in the past, etc. I am really not looking for "Ponson Sucks" type of answers. If you think he will suck tell me why?

It's the bottom of the 15th in game seven with the score tied.
Ortiz doubles with two outs as usual. The only guy left on the bench is Coco Crisp. At bat is Eric Hinske .260 lifetime hitter. Do you pinch run for Ortiz and take his bat out of the lineup with Crisp who scores on a single. Or do you take your chances with Hinske?

Does anyone know the facts, off the top of their heads. Don't do research and reward my laziness, though.
On a related note, I find it very annoying and worthless that if one googles "World Series" along with any other combonation of words,, all one gets is dad-gum poker sites. I also find it sick to market that garbage to kids by saturating ESPN with tournaments and celebrity horsepucky. I'd rather my kid smoke weed and swear like a sailor to his teachers than gamble, personally. If I had a kid. But I would never have a kid, so I don't know what I'm talking about here. I'm totally off-topic. Some of the things that people will do for money just grind my gears. Some of the things that people spend their money on grind my gears as well, but let's just get back to the average age of a player in the MLB World Series, since the end of the deadball era, shall we? Effin' moneymakers...
