For the first question, work on arm strength by doing drills like long loss. Control is an awesome thing. After pitching for 4 years at a D III college, control and speed difference is everything. If you can hit your spots and chance speed, you will be dirty. Work on your change and make it look like your fastball but different speed. As for your second question, the pros is something that is very hard to do. It can be done but very hard. I will say one word that will help you out alot, "NETWORKING". Alot of the business of the pros is talent but also, who you know. email me if you want any other suggestions on how to work on pitches.

Curveball or Cutter. You don't get better by stopping (A.J). Maybe that's why there have been very little improvement in fastballs and off speed pitches over the last few decades. Coaches act as if we're all little sissys. If we trained at these things when we were young, our muscles would develop to them. Work on a curveball and cut fastball. You're definately above average. You can become pro if you really want to. Just keep working hard and set yourself a high goal

I am a pitching coach, and you are too young to be throwing a slider. Hold that off until JV of high school. The elbow is too precious to take the twisting motion of the arm in the slider. If you just slide your fingers to the right of the ball, as well as your thumb, you will get the action of a slider without breaking your wrist, also known as a cutter. Also try changing arm angles with the fastball to keep hitters off balance.

I catch for a HS team and i will be honest kid what you have is average for high schoolers. but you may wanna work on a cut fastball, curve, and or forkball. because in the three years i have caus the average pitcher threw 70-80 and usually had a change, curve, and or slider. so what you would really have to do is learn one of the pitches i told you because most high schoolers don't expect to see it. I hope this helps and good luck.
