No Jason Schmidt should not have retired. For one he is getting paid like an ace (why would he retire with that kind of money) and also alot of pitchers go through some bad years but I am confident Schmidt will bounce back.

No way. He's still throws mid 90's and is going to win 16-19 games and have an era under 4 and that's pretty good for a starter. I'd take him on our team anyday.

Nah, pitchers go to a lot older ages than he's at. Look at some of the guys who have been major leaguers well into their 40's. He'll get jobs for the next 5 years based on his past alone.
