Nick Markakis - As a Baltimore Oriole fan, I followed his rookie season very closely, and took note of how he was constantly adjusting and developing. Not just day to day, but even from one at bat to the next.
He has patience at the plate and really waited for his pitch, and adjusted to what the pitcher had. Once he became a regular, he continued to grow, and never really 'slumped' after May or June. Heck, he even broke a club record in August with his 3-homerun night.
Terry Crowley, our hitting coach, has done wonders with him, helping him develop and refine his swing, not to mention the fact that Nick is an awesome defensive player in the outfield as well - he's capable of playing both corners, and made some amazing throws to homeplate.

I think Corey Hart of the Brewers has the promise. He is a slender right handed hitter who mixes speed with power to pull the ball with some pop. However he really has good bat control in order to take the ball the other way if the pitch takes him there. However, that being said, I think that Melky Cabrera is scrappy enough that he will probably put up bigger numbers over his career than Hart.

Right now I'd say Cabrera and Ethier. Each of them played very important roles for playoff teams in big markets. These teams NEEDED these guys to produce, each did and helped their team to the postseason and they all did it under the glare of a huge media presence.
The jury is still out on Kotchman. Let's see him play more games first.
The other guys played on bad teams in smaller markets. They could've tanked and they'd still have a shot this year. They mostly produced but they had no real pressure like Cabrera and Ethier did.

Miguel Cabrera is still younger than some of the guys listed, so if he counts, I give him my vote. Joe Mauer is also a player who has a lot to show yet. Also keep an eye on Dioner Navarro, the catcher for Tampa Bay. I just watched him in the Venezuelan winter league and he has a lot of talent.

Markakis, he's got a really sweet stroke that once he's got another year or so under his belt will be putting up 35 HR a year and hit in the .290-.300 range for the next 7-10 years.

Kotchman's had mono forever.... I think that Howie Kendrick will do better. He took Adam Kennedy's job. BTW I'll go to a dodger game to look at Ethier he's hot!

Nick Markakis has the most promise. Not only will he be able to develop in Baltimore, but I think he played for the Greek national team a couple of year ago. Plus, their owner is Greek, so he'll support him.

Melky Cabrera he can do the most with a bat when you need him in the clutch. He has proved it last year look at his records and he only played because of a injury but since he is on the Yankees thats pretty much going to be the only time he does play.

My man Melky Cabrera. This guy got off to a rough start but he has proven he can be a solid everyday player.
