The rumor is that he is very unhappy playing for this sorry team. The management has done nothing to make it more competitive and he wants to go where there is a possiblility that he could win a championship.

They say his next contract will be too much money for the sad Mariners and that New York or Boston could get him.

I would like him to leave Seattle and get the ring he deserves (plus my selfish motive is that I have a ton of his rookie cards, and I would make a small fortune if he gets that ring). Do you feel that he will stay a Mariner, or leave to the east coast?

i think i'm in favor of a baseball salary cap like the NFL put in place. it's time. the paychecks are getting ridiculous and the Yanks aren't the only ******* anymore. Boston's payroll (although not yet steinbreener level) is quite steinbrenner-esque.

does anyone agree with me here?

(anyway, the best yankee squad I ever witnessed was strictly from the farm; late nineties, when you looked at the team and said, "who the h@ll are these guys?!")

Frasor's signing leaves the Blue Jays with four players still eligible for arbitration: first baseman Lyle Overbay, outfielders Reed Johnson and Alex Rios, plus pitcher Scott Downs.

"We're still talking to these guys." said Ricciardi. "We're down the road further with some than others."

does this mean that the blue jays have them unsigned for next season? also wut other pithcer are the blue jays looking to sign?

Not only at throwing out baserunners, but blocking and fielding and, most important of all, at calling games. I'll say who my favorite one is later on.
