If the Dodgers had stayed in Brooklyn, I am for sure there could have been more Subway Series and baseball would still be popular in New York. If the Dodgers stayed in Brooklyn, I am not sure if the New York Mets would have come into existance.

Then the Giants also would have stayed in New York, as those two pretty much had an agreement to go out West. Also, there would be no Mets, as there would have been no need to create them with two other New York teams in the N.L. Until that time, the Cardinals were the team farthest west, so those teams moving had a major effect on baseball. Other teams would have been created, but it would have taken longer.

Than we would not have the NY Mets right now. Sandy Koufax would have been the greatest pitcher in NY history and Maury Wills would have been the greatest base stealer in NY history.
JD Drew would be the most overrated player in NY history!

The franchise would have eventually folded. There just wasn't enough revenue generated and that was when players weren't making much more then the fans that came to the games. It would have been great but unfortunately it was just impossible.

They would have been ran out financially by the Mets (Remember the Yadier Molina?) and the Yankees (Keep spending money, you're not winning right now.)

Then L.A. would have stolen Minnesota's team eventually, like they did with the Lakers and they would have another pro team with a name that makes no sense. LA Lakers? LA Twins? What?
