I sure hope not. Their fans are right up there with the Mets and Yankees and Red Sox fans. More like Red Sox and Mets fans....cos they're bitter about everyone else winning and would rather their rivals lose than actually winning anything.

Yes, I think so. Something like...Being the best in the American league is how we tigers get our kicks, but we got to face the fact, there's not going to be game six......word.

I wouldn't, because what they've given us and the city this season was amazing and totally unexpected. A World Championship would just be the icing on the cake.

Don't you just pity those poor people? After all, it must be hard living on that kind of money. It's just not the style to which I've become accustomed. LOL!

Not a big fan of Pinella, but I love Alan Trammell.
Do they have what it takes to make The Cubbies
a winner?

MLB is currently taking votes on the Look Again Player of the Year, describe as:

"Behind every great team on the diamond, lurking in the shadow of baseball superstars, live the role players who sacrifice for their team in often unrecognized effort. Which of these role players' best deserves recognition for their contributions as the Holiday Inn Look Again Player of the Year?"

Looking at their list, I believe that 28 of the 30 players are white. Is this some odd form of racism, or should it just be the "Good White Player Overshadowed by their Better Latino, Black and Asian Teammate" award? Why the lack of color on this list?

This doesn't make sense. If a runner misses a base, scores, and runs into the dugout, isn't he out of the baseline at that point? Why does the other team have to throw to that base to get the runner called out?

I cannot believe what an awful game they played last night except for their pitching the first four innings. All the relief pitchers were off and the hitting was bad and how about that wild toss to third base when it should have been a double play? GO TIGERS TONIGHT

I've been playing for some number of years, and watching it on TV. I even play it on the PS2!

But what are errors, and why are there so few?

I am just thinking about pitchers in the National League who do bat. Are they not allowed to have pine tar on their bats? Because if they do, then it would get all over their hands and it is hard to get off, so I'm sure they have gone out to the mound with some of it left on their hands. To me, I think the pine tar would act just like rosen which is legal. Also, a side note...I don't think Leyland would have let Rogers go out there if he had knowledge of any illegal substance on his hands because I think Leyland and LaRussa have enough respect for each other to prevent any cheating. Maybe I am naive, but I think these two men respect each other enough to want to see a fair series.
Last but not least...
The Cards clinch at home in Game 5 with Reyes as the winning pitcher and Wainwright on the mound at the end of the game.
GO CARDS!!!!!!!!
