Hurt.. No.. disappointed.. absolutely..
We lost nearly 100 games last year.. we have had 12 straight years of losing.. we were picked to finish 4th, maybe 5th in the Spring..
We dominated the AL playoffs.. after losing game one to the Yankees, and trailing in game two late in the game.. So being down 2-games-1 in the World Series.. there is no pressure.. we have far, far exceded any expectations.. Heck, in March when I predicted 85 wins for the Tigers, virtually everyone who posted on the Tigers web board thought I was completely nuts, that the signing of Kenny Rogers was proof we were desperate and would be lucky to get 75 wins...
So I would be disappointed if St. Louis won, but not hurt.. since I expect us to compete for it again ove the next several years.. we have better hitters and better pitchers in the farm system.. Bonderman by 2008 will have a difficult time cracking the top three in the rotation... Granderson Monroe and Ordonez, one of those three will no longer be playing in the outfield in 2008 since Cameron Maybin will be up touting his 300 average 25 homerun power and 30 stolen base abilities..
Right now is merely the begining for the Tigers..

Frist let me say I'm a CARDINAL fan but i'm also a fan of baseball period. The Tigers have a awsome team they are a young bunch without much playoff exp. But they are very capable of winning the WS. The CARDINALS have been in the playoffs the last 6 of 7 years, getting swept by the Bosox in 04 was a dissapointment because they were the better team that year. The Redbirds just went south when it counted most,I think that experience is helping them this year.No matter who wins both teams are having a wonderful season, its a shame one of them has to lose.So instead of bashing the other team lets just enjoy the great show that there putting on.

I have been a Tigers fan since I was a kid and have been waiting for a season like this again. Even if they don't win the world series, they have pulled themselves out of their slump and will win it next year. It's been a great season and I think they will end up winning this year, but if not...there's always next year.

I'll be bummed if they don't win because they worked so hard this year and have come so far. I really believe they deserve to win. I think having a week off has hurt them. But losing the first game at SL has made them the underdogs once again. The Tigers like that position. I think they'll come alive and win. If by chance they don't, my hat is off to them for a job well done! Go Tigers!!!!!!

I still think they will win the World series. They have yet begun to growl!! Beware the tame tiger!! As far as being disappointed if they do not win it all, I guess I would be because they have come this far. However, the year they have already had was far beyond expectations!
Chow!!

i mean, yeah, it's nice to have a great season... but i'm a huge yankees fan (lifetime season ticket holder at the age of 19) and i gotta say, doing "well" just isn't the same as bringing the hardware back to your home city and having that parade.
