I cannot believe what an awful game they played last night except for their pitching the first four innings. All the relief pitchers were off and the hitting was bad and how about that wild toss to third base when it should have been a double play? GO TIGERS TONIGHT

They won their last game... and Kenny Rogers pitched an incredible game too. I don't understand why you think they are TRYING to lose... that's asinine.

There could be a couple things plaguing the Tigers...they had that long layoff after sweeping the A's, while the Cardinals played 7 and still have that momentum...Tigers have negative publicity around them now...and If you break down their starting staff...Verlander has never pitched more then 180 innings in one season, Bonderman and Robertson are inconsistent...well Rogers...we all know about him...But if you're offense isn't scoring many or any runs, that makes it difficult to win...perhaps the Tigers have lost the concept that that if you score more runs then your opponent after 9 complete innings you'll win a lot of games lol

Well it IS a 7-game series and every game is different. With the Tigers losing that first game at home it really gave the Cards some hope going into their park tied 1-1, with 3 in a row upcoming. Tonight it is Bonderman vs Suppan, who won MVP of the NLCS. Of course for Red Sox fans he will always be Jeff Suppan, Terrible Baserunner.

I said before the game that they needed to get hot with the bats. They didn't do it. The pitching was off last night too. They really need to show up tonight! Go Tigers!

Dude, relax.

You have to give credit where credit is due.
Chris Carpenter simply pitched a great game.
Hats off to him.

When Zumaya made that throw it already 2-0 St Louis. If he had made that play St Louis still would have won.

Sure The Tigers didnt play thier usual brand of baseball.
But the fact remains that The Cardinals simply played better baseball then we did.

Look for The Tigers to rebound tonight and even the series.

i personally think that since the tigers had to wait 1 week before the world series began, it threw them all off.....yes, they practice everyday, BUT, not actually playing a game for 7 days hurt them....
they need to wake up and find that offensive as well as defensive play that they so had in getting to the world series....

Too much time off or just not handling the pressure of the world series.
