was there ever any question about it?

I don't think its fair to judge the series by one game. You have to look at how the team played over all. The Tigers shut out the Cardinals the night before, so anything can happen. I'm not saying that the Cards wont win im just saying that if your only looking at last nights game, no one can tell what will happen
I think the Tigers will pull through in 7 games

Is everyone using common sense to answer this question? Sounds like some pretty stupid answers. For instance, the Cardinals are up 2 games to 1 and someone claims that [St. Louis] hasn't a prayer? I would just answer back and say they don't need a prayer. The Tigers do!
Whoever wins, wins. It's not over until the last out is recorded. That's the way it is so get over it.

Yeah - one reporter was overhead saying "I can't believe the Cardinals will win."

That sums it up - *Can't* believe. No one gave them credit from day one. Sure they played like crap sometimes but here is what the sportswriters failed to notice:

1) Most crap play was when Mulder, Edmonds, Rolen, Eckstein, and Pujols were down or at least hurting.

2) Reyes pitched quite a few good games - I saw him obliterate pittsburgh and I wasn't that surprised at Game 1.

3) This team has a lot of experience in the playoffs. I'm amazed people picked the Padres over the cards.

4) Isringhausen accounted for about 11 losses - 10 blown saves and one outright loss I think. When he went down, I thought we had a chance!

Series isn't over yet - we've seen Suppan sh*t all over himself before, so let's not count tonight's game! Watching Wilson and Encarnacion strike out every at bat is getting old.

It ain't over till it's over and the Tigers have not given up yet. They will tie the series back up tonight, then win it in Detroit in game 6.

Nope. Tigers will win. Sorry Card fans.

No. The Cardinals will, as usual, collapse under the pressure, and the Tigers will beat them in six games.

Chow!!

If the Tigers get back to playing like they did during the regular season, it's over for the Cards---Albert Pooholes or not.

F*uck that, they don't have a prayer......there are still a few games left. Sh*it, do you realize how many shut outs Detroit has had this year? St. Loius doesn't have the balls or stamina to take the series.

I love watching a game where the players are allowed to fatally abuse their bodies with drugs!
I can't wait until their livers and kidneys start shutting down!
GO Barry!
GO Mark!
GO Sammy!

Last I looked there were still a few games left to be played.

But go ahead and get all cocky and arrogant.
It'll a pleasure to knock you off your high horse.
