it cant be a ball, maybe its a strike, but over the course of the game, there could be 20 or so; therefore, they have to count it because it would dramatically affect the pitch count

It was mammoth, don't ya think?

With Seattle's whooping on the whinny sux it reduces The Tigers magic number to 2 to clinch a playoff spot.

Can we say good bye whinny sux?

When A-Rod was a Mariner no one gave him any slack. So why is it because he is in New York and having an off-year that everyone jumps on him?

He's good, but he is not a good teammate or clutch hitter. Will he be on the Yankees next year? Why or Why Not?

There's only a few clubs this year that had pitchers going whole games. Why doesn't it happen anymore? I'm not saying it should be a fairly regular occurance, but once in awhile would be nice to see. There are some great pitchers out there that could do it. Being a Red Sox fan, I've seen Tito pull the pitchers a few times just because it was the ninth inning and they're pitch count was over 100. Last night being a great example of that with Beckett. I just think it would put a bit more heart into the game again. Who else out there wants to be able to cheer for their pitcher when they're having a great night and taking care of business?

Will you consider Ryan Howard the next All-Time HR King when he breaks Roger Maris' record of 61 dingers?? I mean,,, without the use of ~*Magic Juice*~. Howard just hit his 58HR of the season tonight which leaves him 3 shy of tying and only 4 of breaking the record. Will you call him King ?? Or do you still consider Bonds, McGuire, and Sosa the Kings ??

Tigers or yankees?
Right now the yankees have the advantage
but that could change.

i think hes getting awfully addicted to the flash bulbs, yearly ponding of retirement, hat tipping etc..maybe hell just go away already rather than holding teams hostage, and making it all about roger clemens.. remember the game where pedro was left in too long in the eight inning? clemens staked the redsox to a 5-1 lead through five innings and after seven and down by four runs he was out doing his curtain calls when the yankees were trying to win a seventh game there and go to the world series.. i saw that as selfish and all about roger rather than trying to win the damn game...

My friend continues to tell me the Mets and Yankees are doomed because they don't have the pitching. Is that true? Any stats available?

Thanks in advance

Nick
