They can't get rid of him...that fat contract can't be shed...Fat George got what he deserved in taking on A-Rod's contract.
The more the Yankee's spend, the longer their World Series "drought" goes on.

A very good question. I think if the Yankees win the WS or at least get there and A-Rod has played well in post-season, he will be back. If the Yankees do not get to the WS and A-Rod has not played well, they may try to deal him. I don't think anyone else would be willing to pay what the Yankees paid for him, but the Yankees could certainly deal him if they wished. He is an outstanding player but not a great third baseman. When the Yankees signed him, there was talk that Boston was close to signing him. I think that would have been the perfect place for him. He could have played his natural position (shortstop) and probably would be very successful playing in Fenway with Mannie and Big Papi. I have to believe he will be a Yankee next year because his numbers are so good and the Yankees would lose a bunch of money in the trade.

i say yes because he still have at least 5-7 years left in that big contract and even though u put him in that trading block i dont think any1 will trde for him because his contracrt worth too much for most baseball teams, also when i was watching their game in ESPN when they interview GM Brian Cashman he said it doesn't matter if he goes to that kind of drought and struglesthey will never trade the best 3rd baseman in the ML playing right now, a-rod is getting into this struggles because of the yankees fan the yankeees fan put him into this truggles because most of the yankees fan doesn't appreciate wat he has done for us last year winning the AL MVP im a yankee fan but i dont boo him at all because i know how good a player he is and wat he has done in his career. he still have great numbers this season its just not a typical arod season. all this struggles cause by most of the yankee fan because he try to stop that booing so he starts to get under and above the ball causing all those flyouts and ground outs. also in all of clutch stats a-rod is still within the top 10 and he's still in the top 10 feared hitters in the game so i think he'll be back next year and comu out of this slump next year and have a extraordinary alex rodriguez season meaning 55 homeruns 150 runs batted in and a batting average of above .300 he'll be back as a yankee next yyear and have an extraordinary alex rodriguez season.

Yes, even though A-Rod not playing near to what he is being paid for he is still a good baseball player on the field u can't take from him that he is one of the best fielder in the game. The real problem is that he is with the Yankees because when he was in Seattle and Texas nobody said anything because he was playing for teams that usually don't go to the playoff so now that he is on a winnig team full of big names and the highest payroll in all of baseball's history everyone want to get a piece of A-Rod, ohhh but when he does good nobody said anything. People just get jealous because he gets paid more than they do. Those are the same hypocrites that u see cheering for him when everything is okay.

Yankees might trade him to Cal Angels. Heard that on ESPN radio today. If the playoffs go bad for ARod, he's on the block.

Why would they move him? he has the most talent of anyone on that team. if he has a big playoffs he will be able to relax next year and put up A-rod numbers. right now he has gary sheffield numbers and the contract he signed makes that unacceptable for him, even thought it hard for anyone to put up 45 hr 130 rbi year after year. his problem all year is that he has pressed and pressed and pressed, still has very good numbers that would win anyone an mvp except himself.

Yes, he will be.
I read he has a no-trade clause in his contract,
but I think if A-Rod wants to ~ they'll let him go.
I can't see him wanting to go anywhere, though,
He has something to prove now.
He needs to show all those that boo-ed him that he's worth
every cent of that $252 million.

Probably will be - not that many teams have the money to pick up his contract. And, he's just having an off-season - everyone is entitled to have at least one of those.
