It's going to be Joe Girardi managing the Cubs next year no doubt about it. It's unfair to Dusty Baker, it's not his fault that the Cubs are having a bad year. Prior and Wood have been useless, and Lee has been hurt most of the year.
Girardi is from the Chicago area, went to Northwestern, played for the Cubs, and will be let go by the foolish owner of the Marlins, Jeffrey Loria, who Girardi told to shut up, because Loria was yelling at umpires. Girardi is already one of the best managers, will get the best out of his players, and is one of the most respected men in the game. If I were a Cub fan, I'd be very excited about the future if Joe Girardi were hired.

I'll have to agree with the answer above. I don't believe Dusty Baker will return to the Cubs next year. Ever since the 2003 debacle with Prior, Wood, Gonzalez, and less we forget Steve Bartman, the Cubs have gone straight down the toilet.
Joe Girardi who is the Florida Marlins current manager will not return to that team next year, despite the fact that he'll probably win the manager of the year award in the National League. Girardi coaxed a team thought to finish with more than 100 losses to a potential berth in the playoffs. He once played for the Cubs as their catcher. Many have considered his catching knowledge to be the reason he is poised for further success in the Major Leagues.

No. Dusty will not be back next year. I figure that since Joe Girardi will not be back to manage the Marlins next year and did a very good job with that young Marlins, he will be a good addition to the Cubs.

that is dissimilar over the years: * In 1954, Charlie Dressen, supervisor of the 'fifty 3 pennant-triumphing Dodgers, grow to be permit bypass after the season via fact he refused to sign a one-twelve months deal, and Walter O'Malley would not provide him a multi-twelve months contract. Dressen's alternative, Walter Alston, controlled the NL All-celebrity team. * In 1965, the two protecting pennant winners (the Cardinals and Yankees) had new managers (Johnny Keane changing Yogi Berra in manhattan, crimson Schoendienst changing Keane in St. Louis), and the All-celebrity managers have been from the communities that complete 2d the previous twelve months -- the Phillies' Gene Mauch for the NL, Al Lopez of the White Sox for the AL. * In 1974, Dick Williams, who the previous twelve months controlled the Oakland A's to the pennant, had moved directly to the California Angels, yet nonetheless controlled the AL team interior the All-celebrity game. * In 1979, Bob Lemon, who controlled the Yankees to the pennant in 'seventy 8, grow to be fired in June (warning: Steinbrenner At artwork!), yet nonetheless skippered the AL All-Stars in July. yet in 1982, Lemon grow to be canned in April after taking the Yanks to the '80 one international sequence -- and the AL All-celebrity supervisor's spot went to Billy Martin, whose A's had gained the AL West the previous twelve months. In essence, he grow to be the 2d-place supervisor. * And in 2003, Dusty Baker, who skippered the NL champion Giants the twelve months previously, controlled the NL All-Stars even although he grow to be now working the Chicago Cubs. So i don't understand if there's a confusing-and-speedy rule, and the placement has purely arise as quickly as interior the final 25 years. It easily won't arise this twelve months till Manuel or Girardi run into wellbeing issues and purely bodily can not take place on July 13 -- their jobs are risk-free.
