They have the divison won already. Some starters are rested more often than before. The manager probably wants to give playing time to other players just in case they are needed in the playoffs. They're going to have the best record in the NL because of the games remaining. The starting pitchers aren't going to throw more than seven innings if not needed so they won't get hurt.

Everyone knew the Mets were going to have a great year. I think now that they have the division they are more relaxed. When pennants games begin they will pick back up. I hope they have home field advantage. I would like to see a Mets/Dodgers pennant series.

They just clinched the division, and more than likely will keep home field through the playoffs, the NL is weak this year, but they might be the exception.
