Say the batter hits a routine fly ball to center and the centerfielder drops it, then bobbles it. The runner decides to take advantage and go for second but the centerfielder finally manages to pick up the ball and throws him out at second. Could the centerfielder be charged with an error and how would the play be scored?

Everyone was in the dugout after a great double play, pumped up and ready to get the one run they needed to send the game to extra innings. The coach yelled, "One run. Just one run!"
