Then the Yankees become the most expensive losers in the history of baseball.
But, hey, at least they have that billion dollar new stadium, right?

Going into the season the Yankees were not the favorite to win anything. Most said Chicago would repeat and the Red Sox would run away with the AL East. The biggest question was the Yankee pitching. Actually it still is. If not for their line up they would be in a lot of trouble. A-Rod has been a liability to the team all year. If not for Jeter and his MVP season the Yankees might very well be out of it. Having said that, the Tigers have given the White Sox a real run for the division and even with all the injuries the Yankees, under Joe Torres leadership (Manager of the year) have surprised everyone.............mostly the Red Sox.
Jim Leyland will probably win manager of the year because of the Tigers great season but the real baseball fan will understand that Joe Torre has by far done the best managerial job this season.

Silly question. Yankees will win the world series. Even if they don't Ortiz will be playing in NY next year. Francona will be looking for a job this afternoon. Also, they will probably bulldoze Fenway later this fall and move the Red Sox to Montreal

i think the whole team will change again, like every year. George can have all the best players in the world and still trade them because they didn't win.

Joe Torre will be pissed and probably make a few changes. One of the first changes will be replacing thier 3rd baseman... A-Rod. The rest of the team will mope around for a few days untill they get they check their bank account over flowing with mad loot and go back to thier hot wives, then everything will go back to normal untill pre-season.

I don't know, but it's about time, they're due for a championship. It's been since 2000 that they won a series.
Going to keep routing for them & hope for the best. Number 27 would be oh so sweet tho!

What's going to happen? The other team that does win and all their fans will celebrate. That's about it.

Been time for Torre to leave in my opinion....he has never really I believe gotten the most out of his lineup.....the Sox always had and have much more fun in their approach and up until today had been winning......we have always been a better team period but we should have won 1-2 more titles in the past several years.....Torre time has run its course and believe it is time for "Sweet" Lou to come home.....he had Torre's number with lowly Tampa and with Seattle when there.....Pinella will get the last juice out the "Unit".....straighten A-Rod out....squeeze another one or two good years out of Sheffield....and turn all of our Rookies/Sophomores (Cabrera-Cano) into superstars.......time for Torre to leave even if they win the Series.....I love him don't get this wrong but his time came duing the Marlin World Series.....game #5 to be exact.......Sayonara "Joe"....thanks..bye!!

It'll be just like the last 5 years...
We'll be upset. Everyone else will scream insults at us. We'll live to play again.
