hi, Janet. that's substantial, yet no longer a deal breaker till the Yankees GET swept, which i do no longer see occurring. I assume the Yankees to take 2 of three, yet while they lose 2 of three, it should not be the tip of the international. It won't help, it relatively is for particular. yet there remains time. they could desire to take a minimum of four between Boston and Toronto this week/weekend. i could be downright giddy if the Yankees swept the Sox for fairly some motives. the 1st being that beating the purple Sox is often solid. The others are that it may pull the Yanks closer to playoff rivalry and it may be severe high quality to close out the final Yankee Stadium sequence against Boston with 3 W's.

The psychology goes both ways now. The Yankess have the momentum and the Red Sox are most likely in shock. The Yankees can play .550 ball now but the Red Sox would have to play around .700 to get back into it. There is still one more series at Yankee stadium, right--I doubt the Sox will sweep there.

Doubtful on that one. They're now 6 1/2 games out of the AL East, and if the White Sox win tonight, 5 games out of the wild card. Stranger things have happened before (see the Giants coming back from 13 games out to beat the Dodgers in 1951, or the Mariners coming back from 12 1/2 games out to beat the Angels in 1995), but this Yankee team isn't going to fold like the '51 Dodgers or '95 Angels.

yea they can because eveybody knows that the red sox are way better than the yankees. the only reason why they won is because the yankees have every major player in the MLB. so thats why they won. trust me the red sox will come back!!! know if you want a team that sucks, the Chicago Cubs is your

Yes they can...."it ain't over till its over"......the Phillies in the 60's blew a 7-8 game left with only days or weeks left.....and of course don't forget the '78 Red Sox or the Yankees in the Championship series a couple of years back......"it ain't over till the fat lady has sung".......and correct me if I'm wrong but there are more then 7 games left and to boot they have a 4 game series coming up later in New York......it won't be easy but I will rest when it is clinched...in the meantime......GO YANKEES! STINKIN RED SOX!!!!!!!!!

Well, stranger things have happened obviously and it 'could' happen although I think we just saw their season go down. This had to be a psychological blow to the Sox and they'll have to get by that as well as chase the Yanks from here on out. It will go one way or the other...they'll make a race out of it or the Yanks will leave them in the dust and home in October.
