celebrating. The Red Sox looked dead. Even the sox fans thought they were dead. My point is that, don't count the Red Sox out yet. This is a great team going through a mighty slump. Feel free to voice your opinion.

I'm not expecting a heroic comeback like in 2004, but I'm not counting the Red Sox out of the playoff chase. They've got a good team capable of winning games, especially if Beckett can get back on track, and if that bullpen can be even adequate.

Good job of sticking up for your team, too. I don't like the Bosox, but I appreciate fans who stand by their team without being an idiot about it.

This is different...their pitching staff is looking horrible. They still have the offense but when your pitching sucks there's nothing you can do. There's a lot of teams the sox can just out slug to get wins. Unfortunatley for them the Yankees arent one of them. Yanks are about to complete the 5 game sweep! And the red sox have a very difficult schedule ahead of them......and as im writing this a pass ball gives the yankees another run.

The ALCs in 2004 was a fluke, wont happen again. As you can see from this 5 game series, the red sox are out of it, and if they are not carefull they wont even get the wild card.

they aren't great, look at their pitching staff. Beckett is awful, his ERA is huge and he has no command. Schilling gives up too many hits to be an ace. Lester looks good on paper, but he walks too many batters. David Wells is old and fat and should have left baseball a long time ago. Plus, this time they don't have to face 1 team. They still got a bunch of teams who are trying to make the playoffs themselves. They will not make the playoffs, they have no hope with that retard Theo Epstein and Terry Francoma coaching.

Go Yanks!

You had your one victory in the last hundred years. The script is as usual the Yankees have put the Red Sox to bed.
