Dale Jr went to Hendrick Motorsports after this season?

Do you think that by way of the conflicts of DEI and the fact that Jr Has no real teammate to help him out on the track as a cause to his lack of stronger racing desire.

Would he be better off else where?

Would He be a better over all contender for the cup if he wasn't surrounded by the stress of DEI.

that were penalized for speeding on pit road the very same week they made a complaint. Last week it was Tony Stewart, a few years ago I remember they did it to Jimmie Johnson. I can't remember the other drivers but the controversy is the nascar officials are the only ones that can see they were speeding and will not show any proof. Drivers and fans were wanting nascar to put a radar gun on them so they could see for themselves. Thus causing the general public to come to the conclusion that this was merely a way for nascar to punish drivers that voiced their opinion when nascar did something they did not like. I am not sure but I think they even penalized Earnhardt Jr. for speeding on pit road when he made a comment they did not like. Is there any way a person could look up in the records when a driver was penalized for speeding on pit road?

The answering section for that question was closed, so I'll start a new chain. Jeff Gordon and Steve Letarte are finally starting to click. Driver and crew cheifs take a while to meld together to be a cohesive unit (see Dale Jr.'s failure to make the Chase after Tony Eury left). It's been 2 (maybe 3 years) now, and things are coming together. Please feel free to post, except if you're going to go on about Stewart's comments about NASCAR's "similarities" to the WWE. I am a huge NASCAR fan, but an even bigger WWE fan, and can tell you that is the biggest load of horse**** I have ever heard leave the mouth of Tony Stewart. If he wants the spotlight to be on him, maybe he should just shut up and drive. What a concept.

All this talk about Dale Sr. and Jeff Gordon reminded me of something I had forgotten and have always wondered about.Has any of you ever noticed how similar in looks Teresa is to Jeffs ex Brooke.I'm thinking they could be sisters and have always thought it was more then coinicidence.I believe Jeff wanted the whole Earnhardt legacy.Yet Ive never heard anyone make the comparison. So am I losing it or do other fans see it too.

And why do they always think that if someone other than their driver wins then the winner must have cheated or Nascar gave it to them?

How bout when there is a caution for debris, the pace car picks up the field, the debris is removed and they start racin' the next time by? If anyone wants to it..go ahead and pit. The pits were open before the caution and they should remain open during the caution; but we're goin' green the next time by.
I think that would do away with all of the usless caution laps. Although NASCAR uses that opportunity to go to commercial and sell, sell, sell!!!

If Dale Earnhardt respected Gordon enough to teach him some of his tricks and even be business partners with him off the track, and Dale Jr respects him enough to be friends with him and never has a bad word to say about him,why is Gordon so hated.
I would like for all you "Gordon haters" to give me an actual coherent reason for this.I don't want to hear from all the inbred droolers than can't come up with anything better than "he's gay".

Am I the only one that sees a direct connection to the silly, cartoon-like appeal of professional wrestling and NASCAR races? I swear, every time a NASCAR event is held the collective I.Q. of the entire state drops twenty points.

Here is a question for Jr. fans and HMS bashers...
What if Jr. drove for HMS and started winning races. would people throw stuff at Gordon when he won? or would everyone jump ship and treat him with the same respect that Waltrip got just because they were teammates?

Dale Jr's dad taught Gordon quite a bit. Do you think Dale Jr is a littel intimitated by his peer's present sucess, considering the relationship.

You know that stretch were even Michael Waltrip won 2 Daytona 500s and he and Junior dominated Daytona and Talladega. Did you accuse NASCAR of giving the races to DEI then ? Or were the cars just better. Or how about when Rousch was dominating the mile and a half downforce tracks ?

I'm not a big NASCAR fan so I'm not fully aware of the rivalries in the sport, but I've heard that some people hate Jeff Gordon, why is that? I would love to know more, so specific and detailed answers would be appreciated.

Are there any other major rivalries in the sport, or unpleasant drivers?
