There are no doors to weld shut. There is thick steel bars that form the car (the chassis) that prevent injury during a wreck. Over top of that is sheet metal that is painted and decaled. The only open part of a race car (not sealed off) is the left window, where the drivers exit and enter the car. It is covered by a window net.

There are no doors on a Nascar. Its just a solid panel of sheet metal with a window opening. The cars are only made to resemble the stock versions but the are really very few things like the originals. Justs the fact that its has 4 wheels and a hood and trunk are about it.

No, it's made that way, with no seams. Go to like a Nascar Store, or one that is having a promotion for a certain car, they will have a car there. You can look inside, see exactly how they are made.
At your local stockcar track, the late models will be alot like them, very much. The lower classes do weld their doors.

You should elaberate on your question but if you're talking about nascar... They don't have doors. It's all one big roll cage surounded by thin sheetmetal cover that is mostly seamless. And it is thin sheetmetal when your flat tire rips most or all of your front fender off that's when you know there's not much to it... They make these cars as light as posible so that they go faster and with as less restriction as possible...
I hope this helps...

In the days when they still used actual production cars yes they were. Now however the body is a one piece sheetmetal casting lowered onto the roll cage.

NO; it's because having hinges, latches, and extra metal around a door jamb are unnecessary weight. The lighter the car, the faster she goes!

You're kidding me. Nascar bodies are constructed out of sheetmetal. It's the entire body with no doors. I hope you know why they use a window net.

Wow, have you ever watched a NASCAR race? NASCAR stock cars do not have doors. The outer frame is one piece, that is why they use the window to get in the car. (It's not just for fun)
