Entertanment....a word being used alot when describing NASCAR.......my feelings are mixed

When sports entertainment is mentioned wrestling comes to mind.Sometimes the NASCAR event seems to be scripted by the way caution flags or red flags or the Green-White-Checkers .
I have watched stock car racing since 1959 and attended my first NASCAR race in 1960.I have seen fist fights to cursing matches and they were entertaining.
Today the entertainment is seeing what NASCAR pulls next.
Over all stockcar racing is a sport but the antics of certain drivers teams and NASCAR makes it entertainment.

The term Sports Entertainment came about when WWE went public on the Stock exchange. They had to basically admit that it was fixed. The term does not apply to Nascar any more that it would to MLB or NFL. They are all competition between teams that want to win and can win if they do the right things. Whether that is Score more point or finish 500 laps first.

If golf is considered a sport, then NASCAR is also. But no one gets excited when they watch golf...So that leaves the answer as yes, NASCAR is sports entertainment. Golf is just a sport without the entertainment.

NASCAR is the WWE of motorsports. They might as well form a partnership with cross promotions and stuff. Have a wrestling event between a races. have WWE characters on the cars. etc. etc.

Of course it's entertainment (note spelling).. but it is also a sport. Every sport is a form of entertainment.....i don't understand your question
