Dale Jr's dad taught Gordon quite a bit. Do you think Dale Jr is a littel intimitated by his peer's present sucess, considering the relationship.

i dont thing that dale jr is jealous, he too has learned a lot from his father and would have learned even more if he would not have died. I think that many of the drivers that have reced with SR would say that they learned a lot, even if all it was that should not get in his way.

No, Dale Jr. and Jeff Gordon are good friends, and I am sure Sr. taught his son quite a bit, probably the same stuff he taught Gordon. I am sure Jr. would like to have the same success on the track as Gordon, but so would thousands of other racers out there. I think Jr. respects Gordon as a great driver, and probably learns alot from Gordon. I am also sure that Gordon, learns quite a bit from Dale Jr. Besides Jr. has many, many more fans than Gordon, if anything Gordon is probably a little more jealous that he doesnt have the same following, even after all his success.

I'm sure Gordon learned a lot more from Dale Sr than Jr did, merely because he raced him more times. Wasn't Jr off to a military academy during some of the time Jeff would have been racing Sr? I don't think Jr is intimidated by Gordon's success at all but I'd guess if he were given the truth serum he would admit to being somewhat jealous. Would you rather be the most popular person in your profession or the best there ever was? I would think most people would want to be the best at what they do and the fame and money would follow. Why wouldn't Jr be a little jealous of the best teams, resources and equipment in NASCAR today?

Why is the world would Dale Jr. be jealous of Gordon. He has no reason to be. Gordon is a good driver, but the cars he is given and the crew that he has is alot of the reason he is winning so much. Once DEI gets their head out of their a** and give Jr the company that is rightfully his, then he bring the company back to the standing and competitiveness it once had. Dale Sr built that company for his children someday not for Theresa to ruin. She may be making money on the #3 merchandise but the cars are not competitive.

He's probably a bit envious of Gordon's achievements. Hey Sr took Gordon under his wing and was very outspoken and honest on how talented he felt Jeff was. He knew Gordon would be his sucessor. You have to give Sr credit for his honesty, this is what made the man a legend. If only his fans would have followed his lead and been/be as respectful to Gordon as well as other drivers. I'm sure Jr at times wishes he could have been as good as Gordon and have been the one to earn that respect from his dad. What kid wouldnt.

I doubt it. In all of his public statements Dale Jr. has been respectful and deferential to Jeff Gordon. I can't imagine Dale Jr. harboring any private resentment towards Gordon.

Besides, what does Dale Jr. have to be jealous of? Dale Jr. is one of the sport's most recognized faces and has several prominent endorsements, Budweiser,Levi etc. No disrespect to Dale Jr who is a great driver but Jeff Gordon had to earn his endorsements by winning races and championships.

If anything I think Dale may wish he had the equipment, resources and leadership that is available to Jeff at Hendricks. Rick Hendrick is a top notch guy who wants to win which has proven as a very successful combination.

When it comes to Dale Jr not sure if anyone can handle the pressure he faces better than he does. With his racing pedigree and being the most popular driver, never mind the pressure he puts on himself. He always has been and always will be a class act in my book.

As far as being jealous of Jeff's talent and abilities, No. I think Junior feels blessed and pleasesd with the abilities he has, and I don't blame him

I don't think so. Jeff Gordon is the kind of driver that doesn't come along very often. I think Dale and Jeff respect each other. A lot of drivers may be intimidated by Jeff Gordon simply because he can win any race at any time. Gordon is one of a few drivers who can win the super speedways, medium tracks, short tracks, and road courses.

Not at all. Jr. is his own man and also learned a lot from his dad. Like most of the drivers he too likes a challenge and Jeff Gordon fits that description!

I seriously doubt it. Junior doesn't give me the impression that jealousy is in his vocabulary. And why should it be? He's got the world by the tail where the fans are concerned. Sooner or later the track will come around to him. Jeff Gordon is riding a high currently. Peaks and valleys, and what goes around comes around. When that "high" heads south, the low is going to be pretty low.
