I know that people were saying that it was because of that contact with Vettel played a part in it, but I have a feeling that there was something else that caused him to hit the wall very hard!

NASCAR said he won the race and that's really all that matters. His crew chief said there was a gallon of gas left in the car. Biffle says he was saving gas for a burnout which did not happen because he got stuck in the grass. When they changed the rules years ago about freezing the field after a caution, a lot of things changed. It seems most people thought Bowyer or Jimmie Johnson should have won because Biffle wasn't on the tail of the pace car. He didn't need to be. His engine did not shut off until he shut it off in the grass. Nowhere in the rule book does it say that the leader must run a pit road speed on a caution. They need to follow the pace car at a reasonable speed which Biffle did. Johnson and Bowyer have 7 wins between them and are atop the championship standings. Greg Biffle was the class of the field the last 50 laps and would have won anyway if the race had gone green the last 4 laps in my opinion. He was over a second ahead of Bowyer and 2.5 seconds over Johnson.

Yahoo sports has posted an article stating that Nationwide Insurance is replacing Busch as the sponsor of the second tier series. What's Allstate going to say, is Geico going to be allowed to stay as a car sponsor?

I was a NASCAR fan before most of y'all were born... I'm not quite old enough to remember Fireball Roberts, but I do remember that young buck Dale Earnhardt showing up and watching Jaws try to put him in his place. I remember seeing some guy with a bad moustache making his Cup debut at Atlanta in 90 or 91 driving the 24 car in what was Richard Petty's last race. He hadn't done a thing in the Grand National series, so nobody really talked much about him.

What I'm getting at is the fact that I didn't type WINSTON Cup a minute ago.... and next year we won't be typing BUSCH Grand National.....

NASCAR has alienated alot of old fans with this "Nextel" Cup, this Car of Tomorrow, this drive named Jaun (problem-after-another) Montoya, and now they're dropping Busch as the second-tier series' title sponsor.

What's next? The Kotex 500? The Treehugger at the Glen?

From what I understand they will be going to Mustangs and Camaros. I may be wrong on this but it has been mentioned. Any news on if and when this might happen.

Racing where you take Porshe's, BMW's, Viper's, Maserati's, Jaguar's, Audi's, or pretty much any other German, Italian, French car or any from europe some from America oh and cars ftrom Japan compete in this racing. This racing is represented in the Gran Turismo video game series better then any other video game. Regular sports cars are converted to have more power and performance and sponsers are added. Races can be on the famous Laguna Seca Raceway, Nurburgring, or Le Mans. An example of the cars used is the BMW M3 GTR, BMW Mclaren, Dodge Viper GTS, these aren't cars that are one seated speed machines that are similer to formula one.

So what is this racing called?
What do I have to go through to become a racer in this racing?

At the race in Kansas they had a recording artist sing the national anthem and he forgot the words. Did anyone notice that? And that wasn't the first time. What's wrong with these people?

I know this is off topic, but I haven't seen the usual tr0lls here for a few days now (knock on wood). You think YA's new reporting system is doing the trick?

Again, I know this isn't about NASCAR and is very off topic, so...Can anybody see Jeff Burton coming back after his slow chase start?

When asked about Biffle winning the race and rules that Nascar uses he was for once in his life (or so he thinks) without words. That basically told me that the governing body of nascar is in fact a farce and we all know that heads will be rolling once people "Wake Up And Smell The Coffee"!

As you seen again this weekend a lot of good cars were taken out by a car on the inside, one or more laps down?
I've noticed in other forms of racing that only the start is double file. From then on you start in the position you were in when the caution came out.
If I was a Nascar driver it would make me very mad to haft to pass the same cars two or three times. While your fooling around with these slower cars the leaders get away or one of the slower cars wrecks and you get involved in it. I know I'm going to get a lot of "That's the way it's always been".
But that doesn't make it right or fair!
I've seen a lot of good cars finish badly becouse of this rule!

I know that Nascar goes to a single file restart within 10 to go. But on a lot of these tracks, 10 laps some of which may be caution laps, just doesn't help!!!
If you want double file restarts put the even or odd number positioned cars inside depending on which is the preferred groove!
Good racing!
Think about it?
