I thought it was because it lenghthened the season for the NFL and therefore there would be an extra week of tv revenue....my wife thinks its because there are an odd number of teams...does anyone know for sure?

1) I've got Eli as my #1 QB, but there are huge winds in NY today. Should i start David Carr instead?
GIants are at home against TB and Houston is in Tenn
2) RB situation. Start 2; I'm planning to play Tiki Barber as one, I need help picking the other. My choices are:
A. Green vs Ari
C. Williams vs @NYG
L. Washington vs @Cle
M Jones-Drew vs @Phily

He hasn't won a ring. He hasn't won mvp. Yet he still manages to be the shining star of the NBA. Lebron James was Michael Jordan before he even stepped on a NBA hardwood. Now , since then, Lebron James has become Jesus Christ. The NBA is pushing way too hard for this unproven kid to be the saviour of the league. Makes me wonder how "rigged" the 2003 draft was. Hey, fellas, lets let Lebron grow chest hair before we "knight:" him the greatest ever. Lebron is gonna backfire right in Stu Jackson and David Stern's face. Lebron is a Vince Carter rehash waiting to be "played out". Everyone will see soon enough. Lebron is good but not great. Lebron is talented enough but not skilled enough, yet. So. everbody just lay off the Lebron "worship" and lets see what he does this year.
