Its pretty tough but you gotta hand it to the Cardinals, they played like hell through Detroit and brought it home on there turf. Detroit will need to keep there staff but i think they will recover and maybe do it again next year.

Props to most of the Cardinal fans on this board for generally being good sports and not acting like Yankee fans. There have not been many personal attacks or horn blowing over having beaten the Tigers. I was prepared to eat crow, but the Cardinal fans have been classy. The most self-congratulations were from Chris Berman for getting on the Cardinal band wagon early.
As for the Tiger fans, your Tigers got to the World Series. That is something the Yankee fans, Twins fans, and Athletic fans (both of them) cannot say.

You take in stride. The St Louis Cardinals played better baseball then The Tigers did, and they deserved to win.

I feel like this will only help The Tigers down the road. next time we play in a World Series alot of the players we have now we be there, and use this experience to help play better.

Look at what happened to St Louis. 2 years they got swept, and this year they used that experience to be better.

I am very proud of The Tigers!

I'm sad. That would have really been great if they'd won. They lost, however, fairly and squarely. The Cardinals outplayed them. There's consolation in the fact that they lost to a great hometown team with great fans.

There's always next year, and the Tigers came a long way from their misery a couple of years back. We Tiger fans have a great team, and we should be really pround of them!

I am happy because they turned from a losing team into a World Series contender in one season. They made too many errors and got outplayed in the World Series, but I'm just glad that they had such a great season and almost went all the way. Now we have 2007 to look forward to.

Truthfully I couldn't care less. Detroit screwed themselves by their shotty defense. That really was the key difference.
That being said, however, they should be proud of what they had accomplished this past season. Nobody expected them to win the AJ Central, and then nobody expected them to beat the Yankees, with George Steinbrenner's over-priced players, as well as their over-inflated and over-aged team.
So like I was saying, no point crying over spilt milk. Be proud of what they had accomplished, and for your sake, hopefully they can do better next year.

Cmon you knew their inexperience would catch up with them. Don't worry, the pistons look tough still.
