A Polish footballer playing for Celtic crosses himself as he is called onto the pitch from the sub's bench. It appears that many Rangers fans found this offensive, and a subsequent complaint was made to Police. The footballer in question was apparently given a caution. Silly to always talk about kicking racism out of football (a justifiable cause nonetheless), is it not time that sectarianism was kicked out of the game too? There are different roads to God, but they all lead the same way eventually.
Many Glaswegians may deride this question, but as an Anglican (Episcopalian) with ecumenical leanings from South of the border, I would like to know their views. Please speak freely.
