Creating more depth at RB is always a huge plus but in this case you're giving up the one TE that scores as much as some of the top WR's. You are the only one in your league that has this advantage. Fred Taylor is usually a guarantee to miss at least 1/4 of the season and although Bush is very good, no one knows for sure how good he will be in his rookie season. Winslow is a bust and you would have Davis anyway to step in for the loss of Gates...so I could give a sh:t about the TE part of the deal. So, to the point...if you like RB depth better than the best TE, than go for it. I usually rate the depth as one of the most important, but in this case I think Gates is a little too much to give up!

NOOOOOO!!! The kid is ripping you off.
Gates- Is the best fantasy TE in the NFL handsdown, no arguments. Meanwhile, Winslow still has yet to play a full NFL game as is the same story with Davis. I would NOT put my team on the shoulders of 2 unproven, although extremely talented, tightends. Remember, they are on the browns and the 49ers. You know, the place where losses are born. (no offense to fans)
McGahee- Unless the Bills O-line is blessed and JP Losman transforms into a great QB, the opposing defenses will be stacking the box with 8 men. No running back can break through that. I don't care if Willis McGahee really thinks he is the best RB in the NFL, LT can't beat 8 men in the box.
If I were you, I would trade Vernon Davis for either LJ Smith or Heath Miller....if they will accept the deal. Both of those TE's are in a TE freindly system and are primed for probowl years.

I would go for it. Forget Winslow, he'll get injured at some point this season. You're really trading Gates for McGahee, a RB with some good potential.
It's always good to stockpile RB's with talent, since injuries and depth chart moves could affect your roster, and a strong running back is the backbone of any fantasy team.

NO...Gates is worth more than McGahee and Winslow put together, since they both play on horrible teams. McGahee in particular is overvalued since he's a running back on what probably will be a last-place team. Meanwhile Gates is head and shoulders above the other TEs. Hang on to him unless you can get a nice QB for him.

QB- Drop Vick, his occupation is OVER. RB: Gore and McGahee are a dynamic duo. WR: Smith and HOlt, yeah! Colston, no longer lots. TE: Gates and Winslow will rack up countless factors. ok: Akers is O.ok. DST: Dolphins D is underrated.

Well....what will phillip rivers do....is the operative question in my mind....if he can't perform....gates won't get catches as he did from Brees......Mcgahee is a proven commodity and winslow could surprise........You might be ok with the RB's you have but if you grab ....Mcgahee you can trade one of the others for a upgrade at TE if Winslow falters

yes. you'll have 3 good rbs and taylor is a good 4 back, espescially now that greg jones is down. also, you'll have 2 good tes, so you can switch around between winslow and vernon davis. if you want me to break it down, mcgahee is better than gates alone and winslow is just another perk.

Yes, with Buffalo's passing game (Losman, give me a break), McGahee will get a lot of touches.
