Leviticus 12:6-7
And when the days of her purifying are fulfilled, for a son, or for a daughter, she shall bring a lamb of the first year for a burnt offering, and a young pigeon, or dove, for a sin offering, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, unto the priest: Who shall offer it before the LORD, and make an atonement for her.

The resurrection of Jesus and the second coming clearly says that he didn't die and he will be back according to Christian belief.
So doesn't it also mean he didn't technically die for you sins?
Doesn't that make you responsible for your own sins and not Jesus ie you are not guaranteed salvation

either because of atheists' lack of belief in satan (the giver of temptation) or they don't care, or because christians feel more sensitive to those things, all of the above or neither?

"Man was made in his image."
what if "..In his image" doesn't mean his face or appendages.
Even if it does nothing changes.

At one time billions of years ago the earth, planets and the sun were all part of some nebulaic cloud. Enough mass gathered in one area and gravity took over and the sun burst to life. The planets didn't have enough so they became planets not stars ( Jupiter was close) then after billions more years here we are.

You can look in different Nebulae around the galaxy and seeing the same process taking place which says creation is a thing always being created.

The fact that the bible said man was from dust or whatever material any holy book says we are from is not wrong because we did in essence come from that material.
It just took a lot longer than some would choose to think.
Evolution doesn't discredit God at all. it's merely a much more grand process than you realize.

Or *cheers*? Often used in the Religion and Spirituality section... It seems to be used as sarcasm, but I'm not sure what it implies.

If you are one of the people that use this, explain why.
If you dislike the use of *drink* or *cheers* as an answer, also, please explain why.

Would you or do you look strangely at a lady who covers her head during Mass or Church service? I cover and am alone in my Parish except for a few elderly ladies and one or two who wear hats. I was wondering how others thought about this. LOL I think my family just thinks I like "Do-rags" and skirts.
Pax,
Debra

Just wondering. I mean, Jesus probably wasn't against it. If he was against it, why isn't abortion mentioned in the Bible? Why isn't birth control mentioned in the Bibles?

It was posted from our small town; someone saw it at a local shopping center where I go, and was apparently really ticked off! Question: does the statement "Jesus is a liberal" offend you? If so, WHY? One person thinks it means that Jesus is a promiscuous, pot smoking "hippie." What say you, and are YOU offended? Of course Jesus did hang out with low lives and fallen women ( ha ha) he also by all accounts had a beard and sandals. No suit and short hair for THAT dude. Your opinion, please! And when you think of some of the recent things conservatives have gotten caught up in, whats so terrible about being liberal?

Hi
I am looking into buying this study bible. Does anyone have this or can tell me if the size of the text is too small or not?? I am going for an average size... not too cluttered, I want the print to be quite big but not too big that there is no space when reading it. I need air space. Anyway yeah I would have to wait and order it to see the text size. So I appreciate if any of you have this version to let me know!
Please don't post stupid comments or I will report you!! >=)
God Bless! Happy New Year =)

Do you have to want to die in order to be with God? I know you can be saved by saying your a sinner and beliving in God and trust in him and belive that he rose Jesus from the dead and stuff, but in a Bible I saw you have to call on God's name to also be saved. Does that include wanting to die? But I don't wanna die yet! I might not be that ready! What if there's something I need to know before I leave? I know if I die I die, but what if I needed to know something and didn't know it? I'll also miss people. In a way I don't care cuz I'll be with God and in a better place tho.

I also heard that only a few people will find the way to God. I don't wanna be one of people that don't find the way! Or only a few will keep walking and the rest will turn back. I don't wanna be one of people that turn back!

I told Jesus that I do call on his name, but I want a long enjoyable life. Will that be ok to say that I call on his name, but want a long enjoyable life?

Can you help me??

but u say it is the 'father'?- WHO or WHAT is this father? is it a man, an idol ? what?

this is why i believe that iSlam is the truth to be accepted- God is not a man or a father.............. God is a supreme being and jesus is a prophet, just like moses and noah etc.

why dont christians accept that? i find it difficult to see truth in anyhting else!

Islam is the fastest growing religion because of this i think
