The Path to Forgiveness:
• Accept that there is a God in Heaven.
• Accept that the Bible is His Word.
• Accept that the Bible defines God's Law.
• Accept that Sin is the breaking of God's Law.
• Accept that the wages of Sin is Eternal Death.
• Accept that you are a sinner.
• Accept that you can't save yourself from Death.
• Accept that God sent His Son, Jesus, to pay for your sins.
• Accept that Jesus offers forgiveness as your Saviour.
• Accept Jesus as the Son of God and your Saviour.
• Accept Jesus' Death as your death.
• Ask Jesus to forgive you.
• Believe that Jesus has forgiven you.
• Commit your life to spiritual growth in Jesus.
God bless.

Life goes on but if one has grutch all their lifetime then what is to enjoy life if one keeps on reminding of past bad deeds?
I guess people will always hate until they come to their senses to forgive. It takes time for sure to heal the wounds in our minds.
Sometimes, forgiveness will not solve anything at all because as you are alive bad things keep on happenning again to trigger your anger of what happenned before.
Example is you have a family killed by driveby-shooting and after you had healed and forgive, you watch TV news another shooting right down your street and that baby just died is your good friend.
Bottomline is suffferring will never end if we continue to live. That is why humans believe and seek religions and God or Gods all over the world.
The human mind is very weak during part of life.

If you mean you are forgiving someone just do it and be done about it. You either forgive them or you don't.If you are asking for forgiveness then be sincere and sorry.

Forgiveness is an emotion that is letting you know that you are not in connection to your creator.
So what to do to connect with him again?
...if asking for forgiveness helps you to connect; then ask away.
