I was reading another question and someone gave this answer...

(Titus 3:9) But avoid foolish questions and genealogies and contentions, and strivings about the Law, for they are unprofitable and vain.

I am translating this to mean stay ignorant and do not ask questions.

What a deep passage. "it all makes no sense, therefore, do not question the roots"

does anybody else find it a little awkward that the main reason people are christians, even if they deny it or dont realize it, because of the "rewards" to redeam in heaven and because they think if they dont they will suffer in agony in hell.

life is never black and white, whos to say theres no middle ground(and i swear if anyones says the bible they're unimaganitive)

"Animals" rape, steal and murder. Survival of the fittest, they act on basic instincts. Not all animals do all of these things, but it's pretty safe to say that most wild animals are sinners by Christian standards. They do not repent for these sins or worship any God. My question is will these animals all go to Hell? Are we so selfish to think that we were the chosen species to be created in the image of a divine spirit? I mean we are just another animal and have given ourselves the name human. Because we are capable of abstract thought to create ideas and beliefs and have developed language to share them with one another we are somehow more important than these other animals? We can't teach them language so we can't teach them good and bad and save their "souls"? These animals should burn in Hell while we can attain Heaven? We think we are more civilized than these other animals who live naturaly off the earth while our civilization creates the unnatural things that destroy it?

During my 5th plague (Exodus 9) I wiped out Egyption livestock with plague. Then Pharaoh comes at me with a chariot (Exodus 14). What???

What happened to my plague? i feel like God is giving me weenie plagues. Frogs? Hail? come on. How does God expect me to scare this pharaoh anyway?

If I plagued all of the livestock in Egypt, where did Pharaoh get horses? Was my plague broken or did Pharoah have magic horses?

Often and often, when a question is asked about "where did everything come from", someone invariably shoots out the term "singularity".
OK, I'm just a "dumb Christian"...could one of you super-intelligent types PLEASE explain to me what a "singularity" is, and where you think such a thing may have come from?
I know, but I am honestly not trying to be sarcastic.. It's just that, as far as I can see, "singularity" is sort of a term that roughly means "I don't know, either"...and is even MORE vague than the ever-popular Christian "Godidit"...
Please, can you shed some LIGHT on my dilemma?
OH, and PLEASE be polite. Remember, everyone has the right to their own ideas and beliefs...even if they don't agree with yours. Or (gasp) mine...
No bashing, please!

I've noticed that evangelical Christians tend to be very intolerant towards Mormons. I'm not just talking about Rev. Al Sharpton's remark or the subtle bigotry behind the Mike Huckabee campaign. I've had quite a few personal experiences where Baptists and other "true-believer" Christians have called Mormons a dangerous cult, said that they don't believe in Jesus Christ, and have spread other untruths about Mormons (e.g: the "Mormons own Coca-Cola" myth). I've even heard some Baptists say that these lies were told to them by their pastors. And they openly say that Mormons are going to Hell. Why, if they are supposed to be following the teachings of Jesus Christ, do these groups feel the need to judge and attack people with different beliefs? And about the Huckabee campaign. I'm not voting for Mitt Romney either, but the idea that Christians shun him because he's not a "true believer" is unAmerican. I wouldn't care if a politician were a Baptist. Why should they care if he's a Mormon?
